Nadia took Xiao Mei’s hand.

“I’m so glad you’re back,” Nadia said.

Xiao Mei laughed, “I’m back… But there’s a catch…”

“I’m a runaway!” She made a big gesture with her arms.

Back at the apartment. Xiao Mei dug into some of Nadia’s cooking. Not a full pizza, but bacon mac and cheese was golden.

Leon hadn’t met Xiao Mei before. Her eyes glossed over him. It was the young vs the old.

Nadia only deserved the best in Xiao Mei’s eyes.

“So let me get this straight… You are Nadia’s friend from where?” Leon asked.

“Stripping and hoeing…” Xiao Mei said.

Nadia nearly fell over dizzy, “She’s just kidding… Such a joker, huh, Mei?”

“Hmm… Sure,” Xiao Mei said.

Leon looked at them funny, noticing Nadia’s skin going a shade redder.

“Well… Any friend of Nadia’s is a friend to me…” Leon said.

“Hmm…” Xiao Mei dug into her macaroni. This guy… This guy is old!

“Aren’t you going for that girls day with Nika?” Leon said.

“Oh shoot… Yeah…” Nadia said. They were meeting at 10 AM.

“Who’s Nika? Girls day? I want to come,” Xiao Mei said.
