The Planet Kell

After the discovery of a pre-warp civilization on the planet Kell in the Paudrin system, a team of archaeologists were sent to study the inhabitants of the planet. More often than not, these expeditions are performed flawlessly with the native populous being completely unaware of the presence of extraterrestrials. Occasionally, a slight hitch will occur that later becomes a piece of mythology or a UFO hoax in more modern eras.

The Kelltians were discovered to live in small villages scattered throughout the continent. Unlike other civilizations studied over the years, they showed no signs or willingness to explore beyond what was already discovered and, even more surprising, there did not appear to be a defined leader of the village. They seemed to be completely focused on daily tasks without spending a single minute of free time.

The Massachusetts was sent to check on the team of archaeologists because they haven't made contact with Astrofleet for several weeks. The head of Astrofleet archaeology fears that observations have failed tragically with the team either being captured or killed by the natives due to being discovered.

You are the leader of the away team sent to the trace the steps of the archaeology team from their hidden base to the village to discover their fate. Your main objective is to recover their research and rescue the researchers if and only if you can without interacting with the natives. The fear being that they are either very xenophobic to outsider or perceptive enough to see through even the most extensive cosmetic surgery. Regardless, you will still undergo some in order to cause the least amount of damage if you were to be seen from far away.
