The Plan Pt2

As everyone makes their way off the bulkhead and begins taking in the surroundings, they couldn't help but be in awe of the beautiful shade of red all around them. Although since Jaune was made to carry the supplies the only thing he was more focused on was avoiding a spill and breaking the glass jars. While this was going on Oliver was already using his visor to control a drone and was beginning his search for a qualified candidate for the plan. Simply find a big ass, Grimm, lure it back to and hope to gods Jaune doesn't shit the bed.

Glynda: Yes, students the forest of "Forever Fall" is indeed beautiful, but we are not here to sightsee. Professor Peach has asked all of you to collect samples from the trees deep inside the forest, and I'm here to make sure none of you die while doing so!

Dolan: (Professionally honest as always huh aunty, never did like to sugarcoat things.)

Glynda: Each of you is to gather one jar's worth of red sap. However, this forest is full of the creatures of Grimm so be sure to stay by your teammates and we'll meet back here at four o clock. Have fun!

Cardin: Come on buddy, let's go!

As if expected Cardin drags Jaune away from his teammates for whatever he is planning. How unfortunate for him whatever it was couldn't possibly be worse than bringing Grimm to unsuspecting first-year students. Really who were the bad guys in this instance when you've got one side blackmailing another student while the other side is bringing a Grimm over to possibly kill him if he screws up?

Dolan: Just as we expected, Cardin is taking Jaune with him and away from the others.

Oliver: Good this means we won't have to worry about the others trying to save them. Huh... you know when I say it like that, I feel like we're the villains in this scenario?

Dolan: I don't know what you're talking about? Now go find the most bloodthirsty Grimm available and lure it towards that group of unsuspecting dumbasses.

Oliver: Um... right? (Yeah, we are so the bad guys here, sorry Jaune.)

Dolan: Ok then, I'm heading out. Best of luck to you!

Oliver: You as well.

With that finished Dolan and Oliver separate. Dolan heading to keep an eye on Cardin and his team and as for Oliver he will head over to Jaune's team and pretend to watch out for them while his drone is busy. Once they had a Grimm Oliver would message Dolan when the Grimm was headed his way.

-One Eternity Later-

It is almost four o clock and still no news from Oliver. Either Glynda had already had the Grimm dispatched before they landed here, or they were having an off day. Regardless all Dolan could do was sit patiently for when everything came to a head. Meanwhile, Cardin and his team were sitting bored out of their minds waiting for Jaune to come back with the red sap, and just as they were growing impatient Jaune returns with six jars full of red sap before falling over tired as hell.

Cardin: Hey, great work Jauney Boy now that wasn't too hard, was it.

Jaune: I think I'm allergic to this stuff.

Cardin: Yeah, yeah whatever anyway I bet you're wondering to yourself why my buddy Cardin made me grab six jars of tree sap when there's only five of us?

Jaune: That is one of the many questions I have asked myself today, yes.

Cardin: Well, come with me and you'll find out~

Team CRDL lead Jaune over a hill to where the rest of the group was however it seems Oliver was no longer with them. Listening closely Dolan learned what Cardin was up to. Apparently, Cardin's master plan was to use the sap Jaune collected and throw it at Pyrrha so that he could use a box full of Rapier Wasps to teach Pyrrha a lesson. According to him, she was a know-it-all who acted like she was better than everyone else.

Dolan: (This is his plan? Wow... that is so weak.)

Cardin: Go on Jauney Boy, hit her with the sap or I'll have a little chat with Goodwitch and you'll be on the first airship out of Beacon.

Dolan: (Oh here we go, this is what I was waiting on! Alright, then Jaune, way your options before you make your call. Please for the love of gods don't make me regret vouching for your sorry ass!)

Jaune: ...

Jaune: No...

Cardin: What did you say?

Jaune: I said... No!

Turning around he chucks the jar of sap at Cardin causing it to shatter and get on his armor. Judging by Cardin's expression he wasn't very happy about this and grabs Jaune and proceeds to beat the crap out of him.

Cardin: I'm going to make sure they send you back to mommy in Tinnie, Tiny, pieces!

Jaune: I don't care what you do to me... but you are not messing with my team!

Dolan: (Look at you Arc, actually proving you got balls. Hell at this point maybe we don't even need the Grimm.) Huh?

As Cardin tries to punch him again Jaune's aura activates, and Dolan begins to get a good idea of what he's working with.

Dolan: (Jaune has quite a good amount of aura despite having hardly any training under his belt, although minor I am sensing a second signature inside him. This is undoubtedly Pyrrha's aura... she must have been the one to unlock Jaune's aura.)

He pulls out his scroll and texts Oliver.

Dolan: "Hey Oliver, can you hear me? What's the status of the Grimm?"

Oliver: "Will this answer your question?"

Just then a large alpha Ursa appears out of the trees. This would be the perfect scapegoat since if anyone asked, Dolan would probably just say it was due to the negativity as well as the sap which caused the Ursa to attack.

Dolan: Wonderful...

Immediately the rest of Cardin's team runs away leaving only Cardin and Jaune to face down the Ursa. Though in this instance it may as well be Jaune fighting it alone since the Grimm wasted no time smacking Cardin's weapon out of his hand. Seeing as the Ursa was about to attack, Jaune steps in front of Cardin to block the attack. While the Grimm was open, he swung his sword and hit it in the face causing it to fall back only for it to retaliate and attack Jaune. Luckily, he maneuvers out the way of the creature's claws and even dodges its second attack by jumping over it however by doing so left himself wide open for the third attack sending him falling back. It was at this point that Jaune started to lose momentum and things weren't looking good for him, with his aura in the red Jaune makes one last charge at the alpha Ursa.

-Earlier that day-

Dolan is finishing up his morning exercise when he spies Pyrrha all alone and in deep thought. Considering what's been happening with Jaune, she was probably upset about the whole situation surrounding him. Seeing as there was still time before the field trip Dolan heads over to talk to Pyrrha. Considering how she's his partner he thought it best to let her know about the plan excluding the Grimm part anyway.

Dolan: Good Morning, Pyrrha!

Pyrrha: Oh... good morning, Dolan.

Dolan: You seem upset?

Pyrrha: It's Jaune, he's been spending less time with us and more with Cardin. I know Cardin has been picking on him, yet he doesn't talk to us to try and help... it's like he doesn't care about us.

Dolan: Or rather he's worried Cardin might divulge his secret.

Pyrrha: Wait do you-

Dolan: Know he used fake transcripts to get into Beacon? Yes, I do.

Pyrrha: Please I know what he did is grounds for being expelled but-

Dolan: Relax Pyrrha he's not getting the boot... at least not yet anyway. You see after we learned his transcripts were fake my aunt did want to have him removed from Beacon if not for his own safety. However, ...

Pyrrha: However?

Dolan: I decided to speak in his defense and asked to give him a chance to prove he belongs in Beacon.

Pyrrha: Really!? Oh, thank you, Dolan!

Dolan: Due keep this in mind during the field trip today I will prepare a test for him. If I believe he passed, then he gets to remain in Beacon regardless of fake transcripts.

Pyrrha: Is there anything I can do?

Dolan: Just don't tell anyone else... and maybe be ready to offer him some help when the time comes.

-Present-

As Jaune goes in for the attack, Pyrrha decides that now is the time to offer Jaune some help but instead of attacking the Grimm herself she decides to use her semblance of "Polarity" on Jaune's shield to maneuver it to the right place to block the Grimm's attack and position Jaune perfectly to counterattack. Seeing his opening Jaune uses all his strength and delivers a decisive slash against the Ursa's neck, beheading the Grimm causing it to fall over dead.

After all, was said and done Jaune tells Cardin to never again try to harm his teammates ever again. Considering how he just saved his life Cardin agrees and the two head their separate ways.

Dolan: (Hm not half bad, Jaune.)

Oliver: So, you think your aunt will let him stay once she hears about this?

Glynda: Perhaps I will.

Dolan & Oliver: !!!

Both Dolan and Oliver turn around to see Glynda was standing right behind them no doubt she saw the whole thing transpire.

Dolan: Um... aunty you uh saw that correct?

Glynda: Yes, and I must say what Mr. Arc has shown today I believe so long as he can keep his grades up then he can stay in Beacon. We'll issue a new transcript as to not cause any more issues later on.

Dolan: That's great!

Glynda: Although I must say the chances of an alpha appearing is quite odd don't you think... Dolan?

Dolan: (Shit.)

Dolan: Heh, heh, uh well the world works in many strange ways?

Glynda: I'm sure it does, which is why you'll never do this again! Do I make myself clear!?

Dolan: Yes Ma'am!
