The Old Case

"Are you sure? You have to paid by hours..." Christy smiled as she tease him if she stayed at his Place.

"Don't worry, I am a man who kept his promises." Jerry laughed.

"Just kidding, okay. Because you're so lovely tonight, I will think of it as something free. But for only tonight." She laughed too.

"Thank you, my lady. Please step on to my humble carriage." he open the car door. She slips in to the passenger sit. Jerry closed the door and moved to driver sit then drove to his house.

Soon they arrived at Jerry's house. It was quite large for a bachelor like him.

"Come in, make yourself at home C."

"Whoa, it's quite exquisite for a bachelor as yourself."

"Yeah, sure. This house was inherited from my late grandfather. he was one of the leading lawyers of his time. I think I also became a lawyer because of the legacy of him and my father."

"You're just being humble. I think you're a good lawyer."

"Thank you, C. Oh, you can used one of my shirt as sleepwear. I don't have any woman clothes in this house."

"Yeah. I could sleep in the couch or something like that."

"Actually I had a guest room, but it never been used so you better use my room instead."

"No problem. I will use the guest room."

"No, C. I insist you use my room. because it has its own bathroom."

"Oh, okay, if you insist."

Christy went to his room and hangs her dress and put her underwear on the chair before she goes to take shower. After showering and drying her body with a towel she put her underwear back on because she didn't have any other underwear to wear. Then she put on one of Jerry's clean shirts and lay down on the bed. Se looked around at Jerry's room, it was almost the same as her (his) previous room. For a moment her eyes fell on a pile of documents on the table next to the bed. Out of curiosity, she took the document and read it while lying prone on the bed.

"It's Magasi's Case." She cried out loud silently.

"I wonder..." Just as he spoke, a knocking sound was heard from behind the bedroom door.

"C, Are you okay? is there any problem? Can I come in?"

"Sure, Jerry. it's your room anyway." she smiled as the door open and he came in. He was a bit surprised to see the documents Christy was holding.

"That's my case, by the way. Amy asked me to take over the case because one of our partners suddenly disappeared."

"Disappeared? How?" She gasp.

"We don't know. We even didn't remember the partner's name. It's happen in instant. We believe the Magasi also had something to do with it." Jerry tried to explain.

"You're gonna win this case, right?"

"I have to, C."
