Chapter 38 by Akula
You know what they say about people with red hair, right?
The Odd One Out
There was a knock on her door.
At least she could take her headphones off now, Sam sighed in relief as a yawn escaped her mouth. She'd kept the headphones on for longer than she'd wanted - she didn't want to hear what was happening in the shower - but she couldn't focus on why.
Honestly, things were just too nuts today that the redhead couldn’t keep track of it anymore.
Tiffany had betrayed their trust by sleeping with Brad, Jessica's asshole ex-boyfriend and the same asshole that tried to beat her brother for even looking at her friend. Now she was starting to see rumors being spread online about Jessica and her brother. Sam recognized the pattern immediately - Goddamnit, Tiffany. Back off. Can’t you see that bastard is just using you like he did Jess?
Sam clenched her teeth as she thought about Brad. She knew he was a prick, an asshole who had it all and acted like he could take what he wanted. When she came charging into the hallway hearing there was a fight, found Jessica on the ground and then saw who the target was, she was ready to pounce on them.
Then the quarterback had gone on his little deranged power rant. The redhead was shaken as anyone would be hearing someone talk about them like that.
And then her brother got triggered.
Simon had meltdowns before, usually when he was upset by something that overwhelmed him. Their parents had explained it to her and she'd basically grown up with the added chore of having to look out for him - He would always just bounce back one way or another. Her face suddenly felt warm at the image of Simon beating down on Brad. He broke the quarterback’s nose, crushed his throwing hand, and put the whole goddamn school on notice as a result.
She had always treated Simon as her little brother before today. Now she was beginning to realize maybe she had been too hard on her sibling. Simon was a good boy. The way he and Jessica had been interacting with one another was reawakening old memories of their childhood. She had dug up the old shoebox worth of photos from under her bed to look at a few. He wasn’t her little brother then either.
Sam felt frustrated. Something was missing, like a blank space in her memory over the weekend. Kevin tried to steal something from Jess, Simon brought it home, gave it back. Then she dropped her friend off at home. Jess had invited her brother over and Simon told her he was spending the night. She was okay with it. The two of them seemed to have been really talking things out more than she thought. Jessica's mood seemed to have improve as a result. It had been like a flashback to childhood that next morning.
Jessica was having a rough time between her finally understanding the “It” guy wasn’t interested in anything outside her body, and their raven-haired friend going behind hers, and by extension Sam’s, own back. So she assumed it would be Jessica at the door to explain some of the weird things she had been up to.
Not that she would complain, or ask why she decided to let them eat off of her, that was perfectly fine. Had they done that before? Sam couldn't remember. Man, what was in that piece of sushi, though?
When she opened the door, she wasn’t greeted by her 5’7 blonde friend, but the 6’3 still-drying frame of her brother in his blue pajama pants and a white undershirt.
The redhead was somewhat surprised by the sight of him, “Oh, Hey...”
Her brother rubbed his damp hair with his hand as he entered her room without saying much as a warning, which was normal.
“We need to talk.”
Yup. Classic. No, ‘Good Evening, Sis’, no, ‘Hey, can I come in, Sam?’
She rolled her eyes and sighed as she shut the door behind her, “Where’s Jessie?”
“She’s just getting finished up now. Can we sit on your bed?”
Sam shut her eyes while shrugging tiredly, “Sure. Why not?”
It would be nice to actually talk with him as siblings again for a change... That morning’s conversation felt like it had taken place almost a month ago. So she adjusted her oversized nightshirt and shorts to sit on the right end of her bed, her brother’s larger frame sitting on the left and almost bouncing her.
Ugh. Why did he have to inherit Dad’s height? She got to grow a bit first, eventually reaching 5’10, but Simon just kept going up after that. She brushed a few stray red bangs from her face as she glanced over to him.
“Okay, what’s so important that…” She stopped as she realised Simon was staring off into space. That was nothing new, but his demeanor was different. Serious.
“Sam.” he looked at her curiously, “I need to tell you something. About Jess and I.”
About Jess and him? Sam could tell whatever confession he was gearing up to make was actually eating at her brother a bit, or he wouldn’t look so bothered by it. Easiest thing in the world to do in a moment like this was smile and tease to help him relax.
“What? You mean how you guys seemed to be ditching me to hang-”
“I asked Jess out.”
Sam froze.
He…He what?
“You…”
“Sam,” she felt her brother’s hand reaching out and grabbing hers, clutching it as she tried to register what was going on.
Her brother… her awkward, thick-headed, clumsy brother, asked her best friend out? On a date? Sure they had been getting reacquainted with each other, but Jess would never…
“We’re leaving the house early tomorrow so I can take her to breakfast.”
Jessica said Yes?!
Samantha Harris began shaking her head in disbelief. This didn’t make sense to her. Jessica had been friends with her and her brother early on, sure, but Jessica stopped hanging out with him to spend time with her. They were practically sisters! Hell, Jessica got so annoyed and upset with Simon that they got into fights about whether or not the boy was stalking her. She called him a creeper.
But something had happened this weekend. The image of her best friend in her brother’s robe eating bacon innocently came to mind. It was so easy to tease her friend that morning, she enjoyed it. In fact, Sam noticed Jessica’s embarrassment about pretty much everything going on in that moment. And Simon was really making an effort to be not only nice to her, but spend time with her. Her friend had always had him wrapped around her finger in one way or another just to mess with him - but this felt different.
Her brother’s tone of voice broke her thought process again.
“I care about Jess, Sam. I like her, a lot. I always have, more than you think.”
He did? But… but why didn’t he tell her? Simon told her everything! How could he keep something THIS BIG from her?
She wanted to stand up from the bed and start protesting why he hadn't told her that he liked her best friend like that! For fuck’s sake, Jessica was always around when they were younger!
Holy fuck. Her brother liked her best friend.
“Why didn’t you ever tell me?” she hissed.
He shrugged and looked at her with a raised eyebrow, “I thought you already knew that I did.”
“Nice work, dumbass. You just had your brother, who once thought cats and dogs were actually raining from the sky, make you look like an unaware idiot.”
“I mean, how can you NOT know I liked Jess?” he asked, dumbfounded. He watched his sister as she continued to rub her face in frustration, not letting up on her as he squeezed her other hand tighter, “You were pretty much around the whole time...”
The redhead scrunched her face. Damnit! Her brother was right. She was there, and she remembered always trying to keep up with them.
“I know! I know!” she growled.
Sam felt like she was going to have to start taking migraine medication at the rate her headaches were getting to her. This was getting to be too much. Out of impulse she muttered something in her mother's tongue under her breath.
The frustration she was having caused her brother to let out a chuckle.
“What?”
“Does Mom know you still speak Russian?”
Sam felt her cheeks flush more at the insinuation. Their mom had always broken out the native tongue when she got flustered, and even tried to make them bilingual when they were younger. It became a Mother-Daughter bonding time. But her Mom had stopped trying at a certain point, preferring her English fluency in her daily life. It didn’t stop her daughter from picking up her bad habit when things became overwhelming, however.
Sam groaned as she realized what just happened.
“No.” The redhead looked at her brother, as she pointed into his chest, “And if you think I’m bad, wait until Mom and Dad find out you’re dating Jess.”
“Because they don’t like her Dad?”
What? Was that the understatement of the century? She scoffed.
“No. Because you’re Mom’s special baby boy! Remember the last time we brought up graduation? She started bawling and Dad had to give her ALL THE ATTENTION!”
Simon started laughing nervously as his face blushed the same color as hers, “She’s done the same with you, too...”
She groaned annoyed again. Her brother had definitely gotten smothered from their mother more than she had. Sure Mom embarrassed her too, but c’mon Simon. Stay on topic!
“Yeah, but you know she won’t react well to Jess considering the way things have been lately.”
Sam decided to imitate the most terrifying aspect of their mother, knowing Simon would understand. She put on a bright and sunny smile, then adding a bubbly tone to her voice as she spoke as if their mother was speaking to their Dad,
“Patrrrick! I’m going to have to discipline Jessica for her behavior if she wants to date my special boy. This is why you need to castrate Theodore, so that he learns his lesson!”
She saw her brother’s face pale as he gulped nervously, shaking his head after that, “Y-Yeah. Yeah, Mom would say that… you’ve gotten pretty good at mimicking her...”
Sam smirked as she relaxed back on her hands with a shrug, flipping her red hair out of her face.
“I can’t believe you asked my best friend out, and she agreed. I wish you would’ve told me about this beforehand. This is a big deal Simon; you and Jessica had a really rough start to your week. I’m not sure this is the best time for you to do something like this. She just got out of a bad relationship because of you. Can’t you hold off?”
Her brother frowned and fell backward on the bed, staring up at her ceiling. His demeanor switching back to the serious nature it had been when he walked in.
“I’ve waited years for this chance. I’m not holding back, Sam.”
Years?
“How long have you actually…”
“Long enough,” he interrupted, sitting up and drawing closer to her. Sam nearly jumped as her brother’s face got closer to hers so he could look at her around the eyes. He had Dad’s eyes. Her face felt warm as she had to tilt her head upward in order to meet his gaze.
“I need you to be okay with this, Sis. I want you to be okay with me doing this. Would you please do that for me?”
Okay with dating Jess? Her best friend? It seemed so impossible that someone like Jessica would be into someone like Simon, she was such a shallow person...
But her brother really wanted this.
He really wanted to be…
“You would do anything for your brother.”
She was scared of having to see them both hate each other, be heartbroken and having to pick or choose between them if things went wrong. Jessica was her friend, not Simon’s - Maybe that was where all this came from.
Her mind drifted to childhood, Simon and Jessica together were so happy then, and she was happy, too. Maybe it was just some romantic notion of innocence long gone, some cheesy emotion from a romance novel.
“I just don’t want to see you both get hurt again…”
“You’d do anything for your brother.”
“But…”
“Anything for your brother.”
Sam groaned as she felt her headache getting worse as she fought with something inside herself. No, she shouldn’t feel so selfish about this! They were all eighteen now, adults. She should be more hopeful. Her brother came to her to ask for her blessing, he was going to take Jessica out tomorrow. It was going to happen whether she liked it or not. And deep down, she knew she wanted it to work out for them.
“Fine. Fine!” she sighed and growled in frustration, pushing him out of her personal space and allowing her blushing and flustered face to get some air, “I guess this is happening, but you both better be at school! I’m not covering for you if you both show up late or not at all!”
Simon smiled warmly as he let out a chuckle, “Okay.”
Sam continued to shake her head as she tried to get the warmth out of her face. Jesus, she was actually starting to fucking sweat by having her brother so close to her. Simon was a good brother. Her only brother. She was proud of him as his sister for seeing him come so far. If this was going to help him be more open and normal then, by all means Jess, straighten him out!
“Hey, Sam? Do you think Jess' parents want her around?”
“What do you mean?” she asked curiously.
Simon scratched his head and then looked at her, “Well, Jessica’s Dad called to yell at her earlier for getting into trouble. Threatened to pull her out of school…”
“Ugh. Again?”
That was always the sword dangling over Jessica. One mistake, one wrong impression, and Daddy would send her off to a Private Girl’s Academy or All-Female Boarding School. It always turned Jessica into a scrambling mess whenever her father brought it up. Pulling the Queen of Eastlake from her Kingdom? The blonde girl wouldn’t have it. Sam rolled her eyes.
“So what happened?” she asked her brother.
Simon stared and then sighed off into space, “He threatened to bring her home and I interrupted. He started to threaten me too until he realized who I was. He brought her Stepmom onto the call and they both started going off about us being at their wedding.”
Wedding? Sam blinked in surprise, "How'd we wind up there?"
“Blame Jess’ parents,” the young man sighed with disdain.
“Apparently they wanted Jess to be the flower girl, but she was too scared to do it unless I was there, so her Stepmom insisted I be the ringbearer. That’s how we got invited.”
Really? Huh. Sam continued trying to think back to that time, her memory had bits and pieces. That was a long time ago, but she could remember the cake, chasing after her brother being dragged off by the blonde girl... And several days of Dad’s pancakes for the three of them.
“Did Jess stay with us after that?” Sam gazed at the ceiling before she glanced over to see her brother’s head nodding, “Yeah, for two weeks.”
“Long Honeymoon without...”
Sam couldn’t believe Jessica's parents would just leave her friend with them like that. Sure Jessica had stayed for sleepovers when she was older, but… leaving her with them for two weeks... at that age? Simon said nothing, if anything he looked angered by that, and thinking of other similar moments. Jessica barely had to ask her stepmom if her parents would leave the house for her birthday last week. The redhead chuckled nervously at her sibling seeing his fist clenching.
“Jeez, Simon. You’re not going to meltdown in my room about something, are you? I would like to be able to sleep tonight!”
Her brother relaxed his hand as he sighed, looking apologetically at her, “Sorry, Sam. Still a bit angry about how people treated the both of you, today.”
“Pfft,” she scoffed, rolling her eyes, “Don’t worry about that. You got lucky.”
She smiled warmly after letting out another sigh, “I’m really glad you’re okay, though. Can’t believe what that asshole did. I hope he had the book thrown at him. Same with all of them…”
Sam rubbed her arm as she frowned, Simon noticing her change in demeanor, “Are you upset about Chris?”
Damnit, Simon.
“He should’ve known better! How did he get involved in all that bullshit?” she said about the school’s star linebacker. Now it was Sam’s turn to clench her fist as she scowled. He seemed to be perfectly okay with her brother that morning... didn’t he want to ask her out? This was the easiest way to blow that chance. Chris knew better. Tiffany knew better.
What the fuck were they all doing?
“At least he came forward and confessed to everything,” Simon announced, “Should be back at some point.”
The young woman crossed her arms at her brother’s news, “Good. I can kick his ass then.”
Her brother looked away again, glancing up at her a couple of times, “I wasn’t going to let Brad get away with saying what he said about you and Jess, Sam.”
Sam paled as the words came back to her memory, her brother staring ahead with the same cold and angry look he showed during the fight. His eyes shot at her, Sam felt a shudder shoot down her spine.
Holy fuck. Was this what Brad triggered?
“He wanted to show he was powerful. He threatened to hurt people I care about, so I took it from him.”
Took what from him?
The young woman felt her face flush as she felt nervous in the face of her brother’s sudden change in aura, “Simon, what do you mean?”
He stared straight ahead as she worried, feeling that same chill, “Football gave him power, everyone let him get away with what he wanted so long as he brought results. So I broke his throwing hand.”
Sam watched as he looked over to her again, sending another shudder, “No one threatens you and Jessica like that. Ever.”
She waved a hand in front of her face feeling warmer and trying to fight back the stinging in her eyes, “That was really stupid. You could’ve really been hurt! Or expelled!” she admonished. Sam took a deep breath and sighed as she looked away, clutching herself as she secretly felt relieved by her brother’s intensity in standing up for her and Jess.
“But I wasn’t?”
Her green-blue eyes saw her brother slumping forward, smiling up at her to make her feel slightly better. Ugh. Now he was trying to make her feel better.
The redhead rolled her eyes as she sighed annoyed at him, “Never mind. Just go to bed!”
Simon shrugged as they both got up from the bed, Sam placing a hand in her shorts pocket as he came over to give her a hug.
“Don’t worry about me, so much, Sam.”
“I can’t help it. You’re my brother, I’ve always had to look after you. Mom and Dad made that clear.”
He chuckled, “Yeah, well. How about I be the older brother now.”
…Older… Brother?
She felt her face reddening again as she became flustered at the thought. Simon as her older brother, as if.
“You’re only an hour older than I am….”
“Still makes me your big brother, though,” he reminded with a chuckle, obviously enjoying the newfound ability to make his sister flustered.
Sam felt her muscles in her arms ready to wind up, “Don’t make me hit you. I really want to right now!”
He smiled at her, “Jeez, you’ve always been such a cranky little sister, Sam.”
Little sister! Again? Damnit! She wasn’t little! The redhead stomped her foot on the floor in protest.
“I’m not little, you idiot!”
He suddenly placed a hand on the top of her head, looking down on her as he rubbed the top of it, “You sure? Seem little to me!”
She clenched her fists as she suddenly felt her face warm up even more than it had before out of embarrassment. He was going to lose that height to her in the next couple of minutes so damn fast if he didn’t-
“A good big brother always protects his little sister, Sam. So I’ll protect you, too!”
The redhead growled as he let go of her head and dodged a swipe of her arm as he spun around to her, laughing as he stood in the door way, “Love ya, little sis!”
“You get back here, Simon!”
She charged at the door only to be met by a peck on the cheek, further flustering her as he spoke in a happier but serious tone. Recalling the entire conversation in one brief moment of gratitude.
“Thanks, Sam.”
Sam stopped registering the moment, and then glared angrily as she clenched her fists, not done with him yet.
"YOU ARE SO FUCKING DEAD THIS TIME, SIMON!"
Oh she was so going to get him for this. He had no idea-oh.
The redhead had chased her brother into the hallway corridor around the corner. Her green-blue eyes locked on to the scene in front of her as she watched Simon approach Jessica, the blonde teenager was standing nervously in the doorway to the main bathroom wearing a white sheer robe. Simon’s demeanor had changed, and Sam watched him talking to Jessica softly. She saw her friends' blonde head of hair nodding as she held her arms up to his face. Sam watched dumbfounded at the sight of them kissing, then continued to look on as she saw Simon muttering something as he turned away. The auburn-haired teenager motioning back to his sibling as he waved goodnight again.
That was something else. The two of them were really going through with this, weren’t they?
Jessica was beaming as she stood there. Wow, Sam hadn’t seen her look like that since, since… well, since they all spent the night during a childhood sleepover in her brother’s room. Though as she stepped towards her, Sam watched Jessica’s smile falter with nervousness as she started pulling off the white robe to-
Holy Mother of God, what the fucking hell was her best friend wearing!
It looked fine with the matching white sheer robe on over her body, but without it, now Sam had the right mind to stomp over and start screaming in embarrassment at her friend’s state of dress. Sure, she knew Jessica liked to tease, and she liked to dress sexy during their more recent sleepovers, and she even mentioned having a “surprise” ready underneath her party outfit for Brad, but this was way further than she had ever dared gone.
“Hi, Sammy!”
Jessica’s voice was shy, innocent, but shaken by something. Sam was too busy getting flustered at the state of her friend’s choice in sleepwear.
"Jess... you're not..."
Sam wanted to say "dressed" but the shock alone stopped the words in her throat.
Jessica was wearing, or more accurately, her body was decorated by an open-front white baby-doll, with white sheer wings that went down to her hips and waist, the outside of them trimmed by a few inches of large white satin ribbon that ran along the ends, until moving up the open-front of her exposed navel and stomach, meeting in between the all-white cups of the bra and tying themselves into a bow in-between and under her breasts. The thin white elastic strands that held the lingerie item up on her shoulders were blocked by the twin tails of Jessica's angelic golden locks that reached down to her breasts, while the rest of her long blonde hair fell behind her back. The all-white and matching lace-embroidered bikini-style panties hugged tightly to her friend’s hips and skin. The only remaining items being all-white nylon thigh-high stockings, and a pair of all-white heels to keep her legs and feet warm.
The only thing that hadn’t changed was the necklace her mother gave her.
Eventually the redhead found her voice lodged in her throat and spoke. Wasn't she embarrassed being seen like this? AT ALL?
“Jess... what’s with- what the hell are you doing in that getup?!”
The blonde smiled bashfully as she placed her arms out to the side so she could twist her hips around in provocative turns.
“Master gave it to me for me to sleep in. Do you like it?”
Simon? Simon was the one making her best friend dress up as some Lingerie/Glamour/Insta Model, and Jessica was OKAY WITH IT?
She had to shake her head. Sam had to be losing her mind, she had to be, “S-Simon gave you- but- why- how…”
Her blonde friend smiled softly to her, “I must always do as Simon says.”
Sam stopped and froze in place as the thought came to her. What was she freaking out about? Jessica usually slept in something skimpy, didn’t she? Sam's headache was coming back, and she rubbed her forehead in confusion - her face felt hot, why? She felt like her blood-pressure was up, maybe by chasing Simon into the hall she'd stood up too quickly...
“Oh. Um, yeah... sorry, Jess...”
She smiled and returned to her friend’s question with a shrug, “I mean, you never really went this far, but you always did enjoy getting attention. My brother isn’t going to be able to ever take his damn eyes off you wearing that.”
The comment about her brother’s once constant bad habit reminded Sam that Jessica had once gone to great lengths to stop Simon and herself from staring at each other. She let out a snort and a laugh at her blonde bestie as she shook her head, “Getting you to dress up, that’s a new one though…”
Jessica didn’t understand, the blonde seemingly not getting why making her dress up was a new thing.
“How is it new? All the sleepovers, the secret adventures to my Stepmother’s closet, Tiffany’s insistence at the mall, the girls practically made me play dress-up for them every time they came to my house or we went out shopping!”
The blonde’s pink cheeks stretched as her face remained relaxed as she smiled. Clearly thinking about something that made her get lost in her blonde head. Sam had to continue feeling the embarrassment for her friend as she stood there seeing Jessica dressed in an outfit she didn't know her own brother was capable of purchasing without fucking passing out.
“C’mon Jess, I just mean for Simon of all people? The girls on the squad, ok, that was fun for maybe a few times, but you let it get a bit out of hand. Hell, I tried to step in and help you because it seemed like you were getting ready to do something stupid! Tiffany is a style queen and makes nice with everyone for you, I get it, but she really needs to stop treating you like you're a fucking doll, y’know?”
Ugh, Tiffany.
The third member of their intrepid high school triad. Now that the raven-haired young woman was revealed to have been involved with Brad, Sam allowed her annoyance and anger from other moments where Tiffany had gone too far to seep in. It was like she had greater and greater influence over Jess once she became popular. Even worse she had so much influence on her when Jessica was trying out for the Captaincy, Sam didn’t want to start a cat fight over something like that. Sam was confident enough and had other interests, she wanted to keep being a cheerleader with Jessica, and Coach Peralez even approached her when she first got to Eastlake, but a pair of pom-poms wasn’t worth her best friend.
So she quit to focus on other things, and let out her fiery temper and nature into them. That was where she earned her reputation for her toughness. Unlike Jessica, she had little patience in being talked into something.
Jessica’s face suddenly paused along with the rest of her, her green eyes staring off into space. Her smile fading as she bent herself forward and shivered. What the fuck was wrong with her? Was she on ****?
“She thinks I'm a doll,” Jessica’s voice suddenly whispered shakenly, “They all think I’m just a doll… a little wind up doll... nothing but a toy…”
A toy. A Purebred Toy.
Sam's eyes widened - understood now that her comment triggered something inside her friend, along with the realization of how bad a day she and her brother truly had. Brad called her a fucking toy in front of everyone while trying to beat up Simon. Sam growled as she thought about it, recognizing the similar sense of trauma in those emerald eyes.
She pulled the blonde forward into a hug without warning.
“You’re so fucking stupid sometimes, Jess. You know that? If you only did what I said, you’d have dumped that asshole months ago!” She felt her friend’s head slowly nod quietly into her shoulder, Sam **** back her own sadness at seeing her friend like this, “I wish you and Simon would listen to me more. It would be so much easier…”
Sam sighed, “You always want to give people what they want but you didn’t ever stop to think about who you were hurting, including yourself! But you aren’t a goddamn doll or toy! Don’t fucking think like that! You’ll make Simon get the wrong ideas about you!”
Jessica hadn’t looked up yet as Sam pulled away from the hug, “I want to be happy for my brother, but I’ve seen your dating history before. This is different. Simon’s my brother, I…”
“He’s different from them. All of them.”
Sam’s voice stopped as her ears tried to register the soft voice her friend was now using instead of her usual one. She moved back to see Jessica smiling down as if she had a fond memory. Something she cherished deeply.
“Master cares about me. He’s always cared about me. Master is kind.”
No fucking way.
Years later, a fucking decade, and Jessica sounded just as smitten with her brother in that moment than at any point her friend had heard from her. Sam couldn’t believe it.
She didn't have time to fully register it, as Jessica's face began twisting in pain, her eyes becoming wracked with guilt and confusion.
“Why was I so cruel to him, Sammy?”
Sam watched her friend’s face twist and grimace from that horrid feeling as her eyes closed up and her head shaking. The blonde was now suddenly on the verge of tears. Jessica was so upset by the idea she had been mean to her brother, Sam felt the simplest touch would shatter her best friend into pieces.
Her friend's voice filled with sorrow, "Why did I do it? Why would I do that?"
The redhead shrugged sadly seeing the state Jessica now found herself.
To this day, she hadn't known the answer to that question either. Sam sighed and smiled sadly as she held her friend close again, gently, keeping her from crying, “Jess... Honestly, I wish I knew why you were so mean to him. I always thought because he was different, or he just did something stupid. I still struggle to understand how it makes sense to me. Sometimes things, just happen....”
What else was she going to say? Her friend's broken voice speaking as she whimpered to Sam, "I wish it didn't happen..."
Oh, Jess. Sam sighed at her friend's words. At least she was showing remorse for her behavior these past few years. If she was genuine, then the redhead wouldn't have to worry so much about her brother.
Her favorite and most idiotic brother who had a **** wish declaring her to be his "Little Sister".
“I’m going to get him for that….”
“Get him for what?”
Oh crap, did she say that aloud? Fuck.
Sam sighed as she pulled away from the embrace of her friend and rolled her hand through her hair, “Just my brother. He’s really starting to assert himself more since kicking Brad’s ass. I thought he was doing really well this morning and now just…”
The blonde suddenly giggled, her breasts shaking in the solid-white bra, as Sam glared at her.
“What?”
Jessica's mood started to improve as she smiled and bent herself forward toward the red-haired teenager, “Master’s finally being your big brother! Good!”
Oh, c’mon Jess! Not you, too!
“Ugh!” Simon was technically older, but she always had to look after him! If anything, he was her annoying little brother who always had to question what she was doing. The thought of him being bigger than her, stronger, more protective…HIM?
Sam wasn’t sure how she would feel about it. She shook her head and began rubbing her shoulders at the thought of Simon being more assertive. More authoritative. Ugh, he was such a PAIN. Now he had Jessica on the same side as him!
She was supposed to tease HIM, not her!
“This. This is crazy! You guys are ganging up on me! Wait... This was your idea, wasn't it! I KNEW IT! You told him to do that! Shit! That- It isn’t- It's not fair!”
“It’s not fair!” a child-like voice echoed in the back of her memory.
She looked away from her angelic looking blonde friend and scowled at the ground, turning her focus back to the ensemble her friend decided to let herself be dressed in.
“Especially when you're dressed like that! You could always make it work wearing something like that, but I can’t, Jess! I mean, hell, I wouldn't be caught dead wearing that by someone else! I mean, what if Simon saw me in something like that? His brain would explode.”
Jessica also looked good in it, something that wasn’t lost on the redhead. Sam herself wasn’t afraid of looking sexy, but it was the idea of making herself **** to someone else. And there was no way it could happen without feeling different.
“It wouldn’t feel... normal!”
The blonde suddenly tilted her head, as if triggered by something. Sam’s eyes darting upward as she saw Jessica walking towards her until they were inches apart, her friend’s shaken emerald Green eyes looking right into her own Green-Blue irises.
“Normal?” the word completely vexed her, as if she had heard Sam say something that was foreign to her, cast off. She felt her face becoming hotter as Jessica had become so close, staring up at her innocently, curious at something that made her look more upset.
“Why would you… want to be normal?”
Sam sighed frustrated as she looked away, "Man Jess, what the fuck is with you tonight?"
“Who said I wanted to just be normal? Besides, you’re dating my brother now, you should know we don’t do normal in this house!” she scoffed dismissively at her friend's sudden interest in things being abnormal.
The mention at Simon not being normal made the blonde look down and suddenly smile up at her again softly as if struck by inspiration.
“Sammy?”
Sam continued to hold herself and made her head look away from embarrassment as her eyes glanced back at her friend, “What?”
“Simon says it’s okay to dress like this.”
Huh?
She felt her arms relax as her body followed suit, her head leaning forward as Jessica’s voice whispered happily in her ear.
“Simon says it’s fun to dress in sexy things when no one else is around. Simon says he and I won’t judge you for wanting to dress like this when it’s just with us.”
Yeah, what was she thinking? If Jessica could pull something like that off in front of her what did she have to be worried about? It was the two closest people she cared about. Besides it wasn't like they could embarrass her. She was free to express herself more. Jessica seemed to have fun teasing Simon, too. It might be a fun way to **** that big oaf.
“Simon says its okay for him to take care of things. Simon says it's okay to trust him, he knows what he's doing..”
Yeah...
Simon did know what he was doing. He was growing up really fast, new terrible habit of teasing her aside. He stood up for people, and he knocked the crap out of that asshole for threatening them. Maybe it was okay to let him run the show sometimes.
She wouldn't ever admit that to her brother's face though. Her eyes stared off into space as they kept blinking in slow intervals. The image of blonde hair in her peripheral view as she felt Jessica hugging her softly.
“Thank you, Sammy.”
“You’re welcome,” the redhead replied in a daze as she looked to the blonde again.
Jessica was her best friend, and Simon was her brother. And both gave her a peck on the cheek to let them know they cared about her.
Sam turned away as she rubbed her still warm cheek and moved to go back to her room.
“I should really get some sleep. Good night Jessie.”
“G’night Sammy, pleasant dreams.”
She glanced back at her blonde friend standing in the hallway one last time, seeing her looking down in thought about something sad, and then having the same soft smile emerge on her face as she let out a tender giggle. Jessica turned back around, her babydoll swaying along with her, walking towards the direction of either the bathroom or her brother’s room. At this point, Sam couldn’t tell.
The redhead felt hot after having to talk with the two of them. Her brother and best friend, going on a date in the morning and leaving her behind. She pouted.
As she leaned against the other side of her door after closing it, Sam took a brief moment to think back to the days of pancakes, and her childhood. The adventures of Simon, Jessie, and Sammy. Those were fun days, but in the present, the both of them had left her feeling flustered, hot and bothered. She felt her body failing to suppress the burning in her loins.
"Goddamnit, what are those two doing to me?"
Her eyes darted around as she knew she couldn't stop it now. She needed relief. The redhead continuing to feel hot as she moved to lock the door to her room, her upper jaw now biting down over her lower lip as sweat trickled down the side of her face from her brow.
Jessica looked so comfortable wearing that lingerie. Was it possible to feel good wearing something like that?
Samantha discarded her nightshirt, and dropped her pair of pajama shorts to the ground as she walked naked toward her dresser. Her hand reaching to feel one of the large breasts that she had inherited from her mother as she pulled the drawer open.
She pulled the sheer navy blue g-string from her drawer that she kept hidden away, along with the new purchase from Sunday: a bright green vibrator. Out of an embarrassed instinct, Sam gulped nervously, putting the piece of underwear on as she felt her whole body shudder from pleasure.
That does feel good...
The redhead let her long hair go as she let herself fall onto her bed, propping up her knees and staring nervously at the green sex toy as she flipped on the switch.
No one could ever find out about this.
No one.
She let out a moan as she moved the fabric away and let the cold outer shell in, pushing away at it as she gasped and arched her back. Her imagination tried to visualize something, but unfortunately Sam's mind kept bringing her back to one moment from the day. Her moans and whines continuing as she couldn't get it out of her head.
“Fuck... fuck...”
