The Next One

John reacted quickly with the device with precise accuracy clicking the button to scan the red head. He really didn’t know exactly what he wanted to do but then he saw there was a drop down menu.

When John clicked on the drop down it showed a ton of different roles and subsequent names next to them. These seemed to be all the roles filled in her life as compared to empty roles. One caught his eye that was filled. ‘Closest Childhood Friend/Manager: Chloe’ John clicked it and a warning message popped up. *Warning! Large reality change selected user will not gain memories expected to have for this role.* John ignored this and clicked send. A couple minutes went by and the woman who walked in with the red head came out. She seemed almost angry as she typed away on her phone.

John got startled for a moment when a notification rang out from his phone. It was a text from someone named Chloe who John never had as a contact before. “JOHN WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?! KEELEY IS SO NERVOUS I JUST DROPPED HER OFF AT THE MODELING PLACE! Look I’m sorry for all caps but we’re supposed to be a trio remember ever since we were kids. Keeley needs her best friend please get here fast. And I swear if you ditch us for that little toy girl of yours I’ll punish you myself.” John realized this really was a huge change because now he had known two girls his entire life all the while he really didn’t. He didn’t have the same memories as Keeley and Chloe.

Still this Chloe person was the one who walked out who was with the red head. John jumped out of the car and ran up to her making it like he had run a lot farther. John struggled a moment to find his breath The girl looked at him shocked. “John you’re late! But thanks for actually coming and not just ditching with…” Suddenly Rose ran up but it didn’t take her as much to catch her breath. Chloe then finished her sentence “…her. Jesus John why do you always take her everywhere you own her why not just put her in a cage or something. Anyways I better get going.” She walked up to John gave him a hug and a peck on the cheek. Then whispered in his ear “Don’t fuck this up for Keeley. Otherwise I probably won’t forgive you.”

Chloe separated herself and then left only stopping to watch John walk inside the building.

John entered the building and was blown away with the architecture and all the beautiful women around him. The out of the corner of his eye he saw someone running to him. It was the red head who John knew was Keeley.

“John you made it! Thank the lord Chloe didn’t think you would make it. Oh! And you brought Rose!” She then grabbed John and brought him in for a big hug and gave him 2 kisses one on the cheek and one on the lips. After separating herself from John and winking she hugged Rose.

Keeley after stepping away from Rose looked back to John. “They told me I’m supposed to bring you with me to room 15 in half an hour. They also said they were expecting someone else with you. I’m guessing that must be Rose?” John nodded and the three of them sat down together. Keeley grabbed hold of John’s non-dominant hand. While John fished out the device.
