The Naptime Playroom

The whole room smelled of baby powder and lavender perfume.

The lack of windows in the room could account for the dim lighting, the room aglow with LED lamps projecting stars across the walls and ceiling, and lit candles that would have been a fire hazard if it were the real world.

The room was rather claustrophobic, stacked high with pillows and blankets assembled into little forts, stuffed animals in pastel colors all over the floor, a changing table in one corner of the room, a muted TV displaying a childish cartoon in the other corner, and over half a dozen Queen-sized cribs lining the walls.

Isa could just barely see that a few of the cribs were occupied, their heads resting on pillows with their halos poking out, but otherwise they were completely hidden under large weighted blankets and whatever stuffed animal they were hugging.
