Chapter 6
by enadenad
What do I whisper?
The Nanny should go
"Oh Miss Fine," I whisper, "I'd hate to keep you from your holidays, why don't you go and enjoy yourself."
The woman practically whimpers in frustration but she's too proud to get down on her knees and beg to stay. Pity, God clearly gave her a voice like that to encourage men to keep her mouth full.
Now clearly I don't want to pound that Babcock woman and I've just sent the Nanny away so how am I going to "relieve" the tension I've been feeling. Ah, well that's where control of everything in this world and knowing what's going to happen can help. "Computer, forward program to first phone conversation between Nanny Fine, my character Maxwell Sheffield and Nanny Fine's rival Heather Biblow."
The scene shifts and I'm in my office with a phone ringing. I answer and Nanny Fine explains that she will be taking Heather Biblow's job on television. I smile, knowing what's coming next. "Well Ms Fine, then I suppose my only option is to propose..." I can hear her start to squeal with excitement and cut her off "...that Ms Biblow take your old job here as a Nanny."
Miss Fine's pride keeps her from begging to come back, and so I arrange to pay for Heather Biblow's tickets back to New York while still on the phone. I mention casually that I'll fly her first class to get her here soon enough to start some on the job training. Heather Biblow claps at the other end of the line like some sort of dumb bimbo and agrees to my proposal.
Now i just say "Computer, forward program to arrival of Heather Biblow at the Sheffield residence." Suddenly I'm standing beside the front door with the butler and the door bell rings.
Who could that be?
