The Morning After

You awoke looking up at the ceiling you sighed perhaps it was all a dream maybe Harmony and you hadn’t become a couple. Before you could get up though you felt something on top of you. Looking down you could see a blond mop of hair laying on your chest and then you felt your hand once more wrapped around held by someone.

Evidently it wasn’t all a dream and judging from the fact that both of you were simply in night clothes you in a t-shirt and PJs and Harmony in a conservative blue nightgown it was safe to say neither of you had sex last night. As the sunlight began to stream into your room however Harmony began to groan softly as the sunlight began to hit her face.

With a snap of your fingers your crow flew up to the windows drawing the black curtains you had bought closed obscuring the sunlight much to Harmony’s delight. You sighed before closing your eyes choosing to hold your new girlfriend for the time being yeah you could get used to this.

The room was still as you slept with Harmony before Harmony slowly awoke having the sleep she desired. Harmony smiled having wondered if last night had been a dream as well and was happy it was real and not a dream. She then planted a kiss on Nathan lips before speaking. “Nathan Nathan Nathan! Come on wake up!”

You slowly woke up to see Harmony hovering over you her deep brown eyes staring into yours before you spoke. “Mornin beautiful what’s up?” You muttered before closing your eyes once again. Harmony giggled before speaking. “Come on its already 9 we need to get up!” You opened your eyes checking your clock to see it was nine indeed before closing your eyes and speaking once more “Sweetheart its Saturday we don’t have classes its fine.” You said before turning over to sleep on your side.

Harmony sighed before crawling over to you getting underneath your arms to where you were spooning with her. “Fine then we can sleep in a little longer.” In response you wrapped your arms around her before kissing the back of her head.

The two lovebirds stayed like that for about ten minutes longer before the sounds of growling stomachs could be heard in the room. “You hungry?” Nathan asked without opening his eyes. Harmony replied with a **** yes before the two love birds dragged themselves out of bed.

Walking to the kitchen Nathan turned on the gas stove putting two pans on the burners with oil in each of them before taking out some Italian sausage and some eggs while waiting for the pan to warm up.

Harmony however watched with interest as Nathan got to work slicing up bits of sausage, green and red bell peppers, and onions. Before long the pan was sizzling with sausage, peppers and onions with the other pan full of scrambled eggs. Nathan then turned and took a loaf of bread setting them in the toaster before returning to his task at hand humming a tune as he went along.

Harmony however was stunned as she watched her boyfriend cook breakfast like that without a care in the world. However before she could say anything Nathan placed a plate full of sausage, peppers, onions, scrambled eggs and toast before speaking. “Do you want some orange juice with that too Harmony?” Nathan said as he opened his fridge pulling out a carton of orange juice.

“Sure” Harmony replied as she took her fork and began to inspect her food as Nathan poured a cup of juice for Harmony and himself before sitting down to eat himself. “Why do you cook breakfast yourself don’t you have a chef to do it for you?” Harmony said as she stared at the food. Nathan wiped his mouth before replying. “No personal chefs are too expensive and besides I know how to cook trust me your gonna love it.” Nathan said before he began stuffing his face.

Harmony looked at Nathan before speaking again. “Didn’t your mother ever teach you not to stuff your face Nathan BlackThorn where are your manners!” Nathan simply swallowed his breakfast before replying. “First off would you believe me if I said that its a **** of habit, second off manners are overrated sweetheart you may be from a noble magical family like me but I prefer living like a normal person, finally are you going try the breakfast I made for you its not poison you know.”

In response Harmony took a bite of her eggs and some of the sausage you made before her eyes lit up and then before she knew it she was stuffing her face. “Mind your manners sweetheart your stuffing your face!” You said in a mocking tone in response Harmony swallowed her breakfast before she spoke. “It’s delicious forget the personal chef you should be making all of my meals Nathan.” In response you only nodded as you picked up the plates and began walking to the sink.

“Any plans for today Nathan?” Harmony yelled from your room as she changed her clothes. “Nope I finished all my homework before dinner last night and aside from checking on my business I don’t really have any plans.” You said finished washing the dishes.

Harmony then walked out of your room her long blond hair down wearing her normal school uniform sweater and blouse and skirt. “Wait a second your not planning to go outside like are you?” You asked inquisitively.

“What’s wrong with it its the school dress code its all up to standard.” Harmony shouted as you changed clothes yourself. Walking out with your normal school uniform and sweater you threw some pants at Harmony who caught them easily. “Try these on no girlfriend of mine will go outside in this weather wearing a skirt like that its too cold outside!” Harmony was about to rebut you before she shivered as you opened to door to prove your point.

You waited before she came out wearing the black slacks you had given her a perfect fit. “Much better don’t you think?” You said as you looked Harmony up and down. “But what if someone says something its not regulation at all!” She said in response you pulled out your tie showing Harmony that instead of the standard solid color tie you wore a tie adorned in skulls similar to the metal skull pinned to your chest. “I asked the headmaster about it and he said the uniform is more of a formality it even says so in the student handbook but everyone wears it cause no one wants to feel like the odd one out.” You said as tucked your messy tie back into vest.

“Here let me.” Harmony said as she stopped you from tucking your messy tie into the vest before untying it completely before beginning to tie a windsor tie knot tucking it into your vest before kissing your cheek. “You are such an idiot how have you managed to stay alive for so long much less not embarrass yourself or your family name is a mystery to me.” Harmony said with a huff.

“Well thats what your here for sweetheart someone has to teach this idiot not trip on his own two feet.” You said before grinning stupidly.

“Shall we?” You said as you opened the door and held out your left arm to which Harmony giggled before taking your arm into hers. “One last thing before we go.” You said before whistling. The clatter of metal could be heard before your armored guardian came sprinting out of the house locking the door behind you.
