The Morning After a Battle

BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP!! A loud wake-up alarm blared from the clock on the nightstand. A muffled groan bellowed out from beneath a mountain of light pink blankets and then a hand snaked its way to the clock and fumbled over it blindly until the slender fingers found the snooze button. Kitty tried her best to fall back asleep as she rolled into a ball and squeezed her blankets tight around her body. BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP!! 'How has it already been 10 minutes?! It can't be possible! There has to be time travel happening right now! Is Cable messing things up again?!', Kitty thought to herself as she **** her head out from underneath the blankets to stare angrily at her alarm clock. 6:45am. Kitty reached forward and shut off the alarm

"Urghhh! When a civilian asks, 'what's the hardest thing about being an X-Man' I'm going to answer 'its not the constant battles with super villains, or the constant wedgie the tight suits give you, its the fact that you have to wake up at six freaking forty-five in the morning after a late night of saving the world, just so you can attend mandatory school!'", Kitty talked loudly to herself as she sat up in her bed. Her pink covers still wrapped tightly around her body. Kitty looked around her room, it was messy with her dirty clothes from last night. Her spandex costume lay strewn about over her desk and chair in the corner and leading up to it are her discarded yellow boots, socks and yellow gloves on the floor. She didn't get back to her room until 2:30am and she was too tired to take a shower, not her proudest decision as she takes a sniff of herself under her blankets, "P.U."

Kitty looks back at the clock and it now reads 6:58am. With another groan filled with defiance, Kitty suddenly phases through her blankets and stands up out of her bed. Her long brown hair is frizzy and out of control. Kitty looks at her reflection in the large mirror on her closet door and she stares at her body. Kitty blushes a bit since she is only wearing underwear. Her choice in underwear has always been on the immature side, as she found the childish themed ones more cute, but she has long tried to keep it a secret for fear that the other X-Women would bully and make fun of her. Right now Kitty was wearing matching light purple bra and panties with little cupcakes and sparkles all over them. Kitty walked to her dresser and opened up her panty drawer and looked at what she would wear today. She grinned and grabbed a light blue My little Pony pair that had a pink waistband, one of her favorite pairs. She then looked where her bras are and found the drawer almost empty! She pulled out a matching light blue bra with frills, NOT one of Kitty's favorites since it was more of a training bra that shamefully fit her perfectly. Kitty looked at the large pile of dirty clothes falling out of her hamper to her left and whimpered, knowing that if she did her laundry like a normal person she wouldn't have to wear this embarrassing bra.

Kitty then grabbed a pair of gray jeans and a white Taylor Swift shirt and a towel. She wrapped her clothes into the towel, making sure that her bra and panties were hidden away inside her jeans and headed for her closed door. The women's bathroom and shower was across the hall from her room and Kitty has always been the only one using the facilities at this time of the morning for many months now. Kitty looked down at herself clad in only underwear holding her towel full of clothes and giggled. Should she just go as she is? There's never anyone in the hall. Kitty clutched the towel full of her clothes tight to her body and slowly phased through her door.
