The Morning After !

Debbi woke with a splitting headache and the taste of old socks in her mouth. She couldn't open her eyes yet, it was too painful. What day was it ? Why did she feel so awful ? She stretched lazily, arms coming clear of the sheet that covered her. Slowly she became aware of the low murmur of voices and the clinking of spoons on crockery. She lived alone, how come there were voices ? She **** her eyes open. The glare was unbearable but she saw enough to realise that she had no idea where she was. She looked across and saw two male figures seated at a breakfast bar. She willed her eyes to focus and then recognised two young guys who worked for her, Simon and Stew. "Good morning sleepy head, good to see you've returned to the land of the living" called Simon cheerfully. Debbi **** herself to sit up and rubbed her eyes. In doing so, the sheet fell away leaving her topless but she was still **** to keep her eyes open in the morning glare and was not registering much at all. Her mind was all confusion. "Why am I here ? What's happening?"

It was Simon who answered. "It was the team building evening last night remember ? We all went jet skiing ? You didn't hire a wet suit." Certain unwanted images began to infiltrate Debbi's consciousness. "Oh god, I had to do it in my bra and pants" she sighed. She finally opened her eyes again. She was topless ! Sitting chatting to two of her male colleagues while topless ! "Eek" she cried comically and belatedly clutched the sheet firmly about her. She peered beneath. Not only was she topless but she was naked ! "Where are my clothes ? Why am I here ?" she cried again. "Do you remember crashing in the lake ?" asked Stew. "And Carol having to leave early and accidentally going home with your car keys, so that all your stuff including your house keys was locked in the car ?" continued Simon. Debbi had to admit that she could remember none of that. "But why do I feel so awful ?" "Poor lamb" said Simon. "I'll get you an aspirin. You had rather a lot to drink I'm afraid, drowning your sorrows."

Realising that Debbi recalled absolutely nothing of the evening beyond the first break in jet skiing, the tale she was spun by Simon and Stew was that she was given a huge over sized t-shirt that rendered her perfectly respectable throughout the socialising but that unfortunately she had been sick on that in the car on the way home, hence she was now naked. "But you saw me naked" she wailed. "We kept the lights off and looked the other way as much as possible" lied Simon. Having bullshitted her about that, the boys had to turn their backs while she dressed in the t-shirt and jogging bottoms Stew loaned her, though a strategically placed mirror still enabled them to watch.

Showered and fed, Debbi began to feel more like herself. She realised there was a little embarrassment attached to last night but the team building seemed to have gone well and the boys had reassured her that nothing too outrageous had happened. Simon explained that Jeff had agreed she could take all the time she needed to sort herself out this morning. He would call in the office to get the keys from Carol and then drive her back to the lake to collect the car. "I'm so sorry I was not sufficiently grateful to you when I woke up, after you have both been such perfect gentlemen and taken so much trouble for me" said Debbi. " But my mind was a complete blank about what had happened and still is ! Thank you both so much" She kissed them both on the cheek. "It was no trouble at all honestly Deb, it was our pleasure !"
