Chapter 27

Meanwhile...
The Moonrunners Come Crashing
When Lisa, Amy and Angela arrived at Sea Gate, they made their way to the Warriors's base, where the blonde writer knocked on the door. The door opened, and to the their surprise, was Rembrandt who answered.
"Lisa?" he asked curiously.
"Yeah, that's me. My friends and I came here to ask you guys out on another date, since we're dressed for the occasion, although we did bring our colors." Lisa replied as she pointed to her jacket.
Indeed, Lisa and Rembandt, along with Angela and Cochise, and Amy and Cowboy, had taken time off when not protecting their turf or attacking enemy gangs that threatened the peace. Last time, they went to the amusement park, where the two writers went on the Wonder Wheel, while the other lovebirds tried out the Cyclone, although the red-haired Crescent Moon was rather ****, but ended up enjoying it.
Allowing the three girls in, Rembandt told Cochise and Cowboy, "Hey, uh...Lisa and her friends are here. They've been wondering if we can go out again."
The bandanna-sporting Warrior raised an eyebrow and responded with, "I got an idea; let's go to Harlem and hit the clubs. The Boppers won't mind our presence."
"Are you kidding? The Boppers don't know us." Angela said with a puzzled expression.
"Actually, they do; they've been knowing about you guys helping us out with kicking the Rogues's asses the other day." Cowboy replied.
"Oh...right, thanks. I thought I was confused for a moment." the platinum blonde Crescent Moon responded.
"Is it allright if we hang out for a bit before we go? I'm rather new to nightclubs, and I'm not a good dancer. Lisa knows how to dance, but Angela really takes the cake." Amy said.
"Sure, if you want." Rembrandt replied.
"Cool!" Lisa said, before she and the writer of the Warriors sat down to chat together. On the other hand, Angela was busy practicing her dance moves with Cochise, while Cowboy convinced Amy to learn how to dance.

"It's real nice to spend some time together alone. We have a fancy dinner, got some good music playing, and we can remember our time spent as a loving couple." Delores said after she swallowed down some pasta.
"Heh, I'll never forget the first time I saw you. You were wearing that red cocktail dress, had on those stilettos, and my goodness, you were really sexy to begin with." Slattery replied.
The blonde giggled at his words. "Oh, Slattery, you tease. You asked me out on dates, and to me, you were the perfect gentleman, something I'd always look for in a man."
"And after we finally got married back in the 60s, and had our first kid, the Riffs were making a big name for themselves in '74, so I go, 'why not make my own gang and be just as well-known as they are?'" the dark-haired man added.
"Speaking of forming a gang, we'd never forget our anniversary every year. And this is no expection." Delores said with a wink.
"Mmmm...which reminds me, would you care for some champagne?" Slattery asked.
"I'd love to." the blonde said with a grin before she locked lips with his.
The dark-haired leader then broke the kiss poured a bottle of champagne that was on the table into a pair of wine glasses, one for him and one for her. The couple then made a toast and sipped their drinks, but the sound of the doorbell would immediately get his attention.
Slattery got up and told Delores, "I'll be right back; looks like Lisa came home early." before making his way to the door.
Just as he opened it, however, he stepped back slightly, as he felt the sharp blade of a knife against his throat. He then found that the knife was belonging to a man in a silver Moonrunners jacket.
"Allright, asshole! I know you stole our name without our permission! Either get rid of your brat's burners and change your name, or we're getting rid of you." Lunar said through clenched teeth.
"Excuse me? Don't you guys know the Crescent Moons were formed in 1974? Your gang's name doesn't even start with Crescent, and your burners always has a full moon instead of a crescent moon." Slattery explained.
"That's bullshit! I might as well teach you yuppie pricks a lesson!" Lunar said before he slammed Slattery against the wall.
Delores, on the other hand, went to find her husband, and was taken by surprise when she found him being attacked by the Moonrunners's leader. She immediately rushed into the kitchen and dialed up Lisa's phone number, knowing full well that the Moonrunners have crashed their anniversary dinner.
Back at Coney, Lisa asked Rembrandt, "Have you seen Ajax and Snow?"
"They're at Little Italy; they've been wanting to see those two girls for quite some time. I don't know who they are, but I heard that one of them is from the Bluebirds." the afro-ed Warrior replied.
Meanwhile, Amy was watching Angela engaging in rather racy dancing with Cochise, sometimes taking the chance to make out. The red-haired Crescent Moon sat back on the couch and said, "I don't think I can dance good. I'm just...nervous."
"Don't worry, I'll help you." Cowboy said with a smile.
With a smile, Amy got up and approached him, and he began to teach her how to dance.
"Amy always told me she wasn't a very good dancer; I'm quite surprised she's learning to how to do so." Lisa told Rembrandt.
Suddenly, the sound of a phone ringing caught the three girls's attention, and Mercy called out to them by saying, "Hey! Someone wants to talk to you! Maybe it's your parents."
"Oh, okay." Lisa said before she got up and approached the phone. Answering it, she responded with, "Hello, this is Lisa from the Crescent Moons."
"Lisa, this is your mother. The Moonrunners have made their way into our house, and are threatening to kill me and my husband. You have to get back to Sea Gate immediately, hurry!" Delores replied.
The blonde writer stood there in shock; she knew she had to postpone the date for another time, which could disappoint Rembrandt and the others, which she would clearly regret doing.
"I also spoke to Jake and his friends about this, they'll be arriving at the estate at any minute. Now get going!" Delores added.
"Allright, Mom, I will. Bye." Lisa said before hanging up on her mother.
"Um...Angela, Amy, I...I think we need to cancel the date." the blonde told Angela and Amy, before looking at Rembrandt and adding, "I'm sorry...we need to postpone our night out on the town. My parents are attacked by the Moonrunners. They've been claiming that the Crescent Moons stole their name, but my father said we never did."
"So...you want to move it to a new date?" Rembrandt asked.
"Yeah...sorry." Lisa said with a sigh.
"Aw, man, just when we thought we were gonna have a good time!" Cochise exclaimed.
"Don't worry, we'll go out next time we come back here. I promise." Angela said.
"C'mon, we don't want to keep Dad and Mom waiting!" Lisa said, before she, along with Angela and Amy, exited the base and made their way back to Sea Gate.
Back at Sea Gate...
