Chapter 45 by CandidBandit CandidBandit

What does the day hold?

The Middle Of The Week Is Hump Day, In Case You Didn't Know

First class that day was Metalworking.

The lesson picked up where the last one left off. Everyone was focused on designing a screw compatible with their weapons and listening to Argyris explain the processes for making a component like a screw from scratch. Each student was to make a list of all the materials and tools they would need as if it were an ingredient list for cooking something. There were various methods for making screws and each had advantages over the others depending on the types of metals used. Each student would need to identify which method was more applicable for them.

Gray filled out a list of what he would need, while watching Ruby and Weiss across the work bench. The two were working closely together, which was nice to see. Yang and Blake were on the other side and next to him. Blake was silently getting on with her work with some input from Yang. Yang and Gray had their heads together much like Ruby and Weiss did, but mostly so that they could quietly flirt when the Professor wasn’t looking. Of course, their flirting didn’t get in the way of their work. Gray was too serious about maintaining his weapon.

JNPR was at another work bench and keeping up with the class, though Nora did chat a bit too much.

Overall, progress was made and the lesson ended on a satisfying note.

The second class was Combat class, and Gray was glad that he didn’t need to fight again.

Professor Goodwitch was in the middle of the arena like platform and reminding the class of the proper etiquette from the first lesson. Her breasts were covered this time as his command from last time was only for that particular day and class.

Her speech was kept short, leaving a lot of time for a few matches this time around, and she called for two combatants to volunteer. Yang immediately raised her hand and got her chance to spar with a girl from another team. The fight was eye-opening for Gray, letting him know just how good Yang was as a brawler. She won her match but that didn’t mean the other girl didn’t put up a good fight.

Glynda then went over the fight with the class and pointed out some good points from both girls, as well as some things they both needed to work on. The next fight was between one of Gray’s friends, Classius Alabaster, and Cardin Winchester, the boy that tried to bully Gray before. Gray looked on with some amusement as his friend took the win. Glynda gave another post-match report.

During all of this, Gray thought it would be funny to sit next to Jeanne and hold her hand, being seen together after that match they had two days ago. Sure enough, a few girls seated around their part of the class had noticed and were whispering excitedly about the new couple. Jeanne eventually noticed and turned quite bashful, no longer able to focus on the fight. Gray responded to this cute side of her by leaning in and kissing her cheek, to a round of louder excited whispering.

Suffice to say, gossip about fighting the guy you liked so you could date them, made their rounds throughout the school. Granted, it was something that had already been done in the older year groups, but not so early in the year with firsties.

There was another match between two students that Gray didn’t know or recognize and that was the end of Combat class.

Team’s RWBY and JNPR waited for Yang to have a quick shower before heading to the first break of the school day. Gray could have joined her in the shower with his Semblance, and he was really tempted to, but he resolved himself to save up his lust to give Jeanne her first time tonight. He felt that if he was dating these girls with such a bullshit power as his, then they deserved their own meaningful first times.

Their large group found a couple of benches by the big grassy area with the outdoor arena and they had even found a vending machine to help re-hydrate Yang after her match. Now they all sat together with a drink each and chatting in the late morning air.

“Your fighting style is quite spirited, Yang.” Pyrrha was saying to the blonde. “What gave you the idea for gauntlets with shotguns?”

“Oh, my dad thew that idea out when he said I seemed as loud and as blunt as a shotgun.” Yang responded with a chuckle. “So, it kind of stuck.”

Pyrrha giggled and asked more questions about the way she fought. On the other side of their bench Blake and Ren had gotten into a discussion about books that was difficult to make out with how low volume those two were.

On the bench that Gray was sitting at with Jeanne, Ruby, Weiss and Nora, a discussion about the best weapons and which would be more effective against who, was under way.

“Who needs subtlety when you can just smash ‘em with a hammer or blow ‘em up with a grenade?” Nora asked with a sort of manic cheerfulness.

“You don’t always want to kill your opponent, Nora.” Weiss told her with a raised eyebrow.

“You don’t?” Nora asked back with what seemed like genuine innocence.

“No!” Came the exasperated reply. “We will sometimes be facing people. Grim aren’t the only threat out there.”

“Ohhhh! I getcha.” Nora nodded sagely, as if that realization really required it. “But we can still break their legs, right?”

Weiss looked at her aghast before shaking her head.

Gray, Jeanne and Ruby grinned at the exchange.

“That’s why swords, shields, spears and staves are more than respectable weapons...” Weiss said, ignoring Nora’s last question, and going on to laud the pros of such classic weapons.

The break went by peacefully with Gray still holding onto Jeanne’s hand. At the same time, Gray would wrap an arm around Ruby’s waist on occasion. Some of the other girls noticed but it wasn’t something he hadn’t done since before asking Ruby to date him last night, so they didn’t think much of it. Sure, they eyed his arm and wondered to themselves but never outright questioned it.

He would eventually tell all of them of course. Perhaps back in the dorm room or at dinner.

Break time passed them by and they now found themselves in math class.

“Now, Huntsmen and Huntresses...” Professor Xanthippos addressed the class. He was a tall man and well-kept with a similar aesthetic to Professor Oobleck, only... tidy. His hair was a light brown and combed straight to one side over a handsome, if tired, face. He wore a three-piece suit in a boring navy blue but wore it well. The one thing that seemed out of sorts with his image was his tie, as it had a character from a cartoon aimed at a young audience. The class later found out that he was a family man and adored his kids. “Can any of you tell me why warriors such as yourselves would need numbers in your line of work?”

He looked around and saw no raised hands. He smiled and chuckled to himself.

“Anyone at all?”

Eventually, it was Weiss who raised her hand.

“Yes, Miss Schnee?” He asked and pointed to her.

“Well, it’s a business.” She answered as if it were supposed to be obvious. “We get paid.”

“Exactly!” The man clicked his fingers to punctuate the point. “We don’t just fight monsters all day and protect the people. We also have to pay our bills, buy food, make sure our employers don’t pay us the wrong amount, which does happen by the way, on purpose might I add... No, we also have to live as the citizens do. Feed ourselves, clothe ourselves, pay taxes, invest, buy or rent a house, etcetera, etcetera.”

There were some sighs and groans around the room. Math wasn’t a very beloved subject for many and Gray counted himself among them, even if he understood the importance of it.

“Now, we’re not expecting any of you to become accountants or what have you. No, no, that is why we will only have Math once a week. It is a very important aspect of the world we live in and is needed in many instances, but... this is a Huntsman Academy, isn’t it?” Professor Xanthippos looked around the room with an amused twinkle in his eye. Some students actually nodded along. “Of course, it is. So, that’s why we at Beacon decided to include this subject so briefly in the curriculum. We are trying to raise warriors to defend the world from the creatures of Grimm, are we not?”

He went silent here and paced over to his desk.

“But that doesn’t mean that we don’t expect you to take this seriously. Numbers might be very useful in the real world, however...” He then pressed a button and a holographic image appeared against the far wall. The image was of a horde of dark figures, Beowolves, Ursai and Boarbatusks running towards the camera.

Professor Xanthippos looked around the room.

“Who can tell me the max speed of a Beowolf?”

No one answered. Hesitant faces looked around at each other.

“Can anyone tell me the distance from this horde?”

Again, no answers.

“Surely you can tell me how many there are?”

Some students leaned forwards in their seats to try and count. Obviously, they weren’t fast enough.

“How much time would you have before they were upon you?”

The students gave up trying to count.

“If a soldier of Vale with standard equipment fought them, how many could he reasonable take out on his own before being **** to retreat? How many could a squad take on before being overrun?”

Gray couldn’t even begin to answer those questions.

The professor let silence fill the space for a long moment before saying, “The best Huntsmen and Huntresses can do those calculations in their heads on the fly, and in many cases, those calculations could mean the difference between life and ****.”

He let that sink in.

“Now, you see, teaching you about numbers isn’t just about a warrior’s mercenary affair with money. It’s not just about going through our day-to-day lives. It’s also about saving lives.”

He let another silence punctuate that point. The students all seemed to get the point. Even the fools and meatheads like that guy Cardin Winchester.

“Now,” Professor Xanthippos said quite cheerfully, having clearly finished applying the pressure that he had been. “If you could all find your way to page four of the text book...”

All the students accessed their holographic books at their desks and followed along with the lesson, with perhaps more vigor than they would have previously.

Field studies came next and Gray had prepared himself. This would be his first time in this class since he skipped it the day before, but he went over the notes from his team yesterday and this morning. He sat there between Ruby and Yang and glanced through the notes he had copied.

He had skimmed half of it when the professor walked in from her office in the back of the room. He looked up and saw a short woman, maybe five foot two or five foot three. Just slightly above Ruby. The woman looked young, but not like a child, not at all. Those hips couldn’t be found on someone his own age. She couldn’t be called a short stack either, as she was missing much of the “stack” to the “short”.

Mostly slim build, besides the hips and thighs, and short soft pink hair.

This was Professor Peach.

Another potential addition to Gray’s harem.

Cute, short and with child-birthing hips. Very nice.

She reminded him of that girl– no, that woman, Neo. She was incredibly short, though he didn’t get a good estimate.

Gray found himself wondering about the logistics of fucking a really short woman like them. Were they super light? Could he do some standing sex positions with them? Surely, those were worthwhile experiments.

“Good morning, class!” She called out cheerfully. She didn’t sound like a child, but there was a youthfulness to her voice. “Is everyone getting used to being here at Beacon?”

She looked around at the class, inviting anyone to answer, to which a few students actually replied in the positive. Professor Peach’s friendly demeanor seemed quite welcoming. The murmuring from the assembled students answering her made it feel like they were somehow transported back to pre-school.

“That’s good to hear. I know the purpose of this academy is to train you to be strong and all that, but it’s important to enjoy yourselves too.” She smiled at them all with a cute and heartwarming picture of sweetness. Gray could practically feel all the boys around the room melt a little. And a lot of the girls too. Then she clapped her hands, seemingly about to get on with the class. “Now, last we left off was an introduction to the environments native to Vale and our little corner of the continent of Sanus. I showed you some pictures of the land and trees native to the Kingdom and some recognizable landmarks. We’ll continue that, as well as get familiar with some of the plant life. Some of these could keep you from starving if you were stranded out in the wilderness far from any city, town or village, and others can even be used as medicine if your Aura is depleted or you catch an illness. Now, take a look at this region here...”

She started showing images on a big holo-screen, showing off a region south-east of the city. A place some miles east of Gray’s home town.

Gray leaned over to Yang, who was sitting to his left and spoke in a hushed voice. “She seems nice.”

“Yeah, she’s a sweetheart.” She whispered back. “And cute, too.”

Gray nodded. Cute was the optimal word for her. In a way, she reminded him of Ruby. Not just in height, but also with that cuteness factor, and only if Ruby had more confidence. Yeah, she was like an older Ruby with confidence.

And maybe with a softer, more girly voice.

Honestly, Gray couldn’t imagine her fighting Grimm at all. She seemed so dainty and small... but Ruby was also small, and she can kill Grimm with a dirty great big scythe.

Gray eyed the professor and wondered what she would look like in a fight. What would her weapon be?

“...you need to be careful with this leaf because there is another bush with almost identical leaves. But those can give you a rash, so pay attention. This could save you from having a sore tongue for a day.”

The lesson passed by with a better understanding of some of the wild life surrounding his home. Leaves, fruits, roots, trees, bushes and even some animals were shown and explained on screen.

“For this semester, we’ll be focusing on this region. And that’s because we’ll be having a field trip into the wilds at the end of the semester. So, soak in all this knowledge as much as you can now, because a camping trip is only as rough as you make it if you don’t prepare for it.” With that she shut the screen off and looked out at the class looking somewhat satisfied with herself. Then the bell rang to signal the end of class. The woman looked even more smug with her hands on her hips, probably at the fact that she was able to say everything she needed to on time.

That... was pretty cute. And everyone else thought so too judging by the indulgent smiles and blushes from both boys and girls around the room.

“Alright, now get some lunch and I’ll see you all tomorrow!” She waved them off and some girls even said their goodbyes before leaving.

Gray and his team, along with JNPR, got up and made to leave.

“She’s so adorable...!” Nora tried to whisper to her team on the way out. It was mostly quiet and it was even camouflaged by the other students gushing about her by the exit, but Nora being Nora meant her volume was just shy of a shout.

“I know, right?” Jeanne nodded along, smiling and giggling like a school girl. Which she was, of course. “And she’s so nice.”

JNPR was ahead of Gray and the rest of RWBY and made it out of the door first. Not only were they yapping about the professor, but his own team was not far behind yapping about the same topic.

“–I just wanted to hug her so bad.” Yang was saying to the girls. Ruby was nodding fervently along. Weiss was trying not to smile and shook her head in exasperation, though it wasn’t fooling Gray. Blake had a small smile but kept her opinion to herself. “I can’t figure out if she has ‘big sister’ or ‘little sister’ energy.”

“She’s obviously older than us, Yang.” Weiss quipped.

“But still, she’s so tiny!”

The girls kept gushing for a while, even until they reached the dining hall.

They were now all eating lunch in the dining hall and talking about the day they were having. Gray was seated next to Jeanne at one end of a table. He happily sat and listened as his girls talked while he ate his food.

“I know she said that we’d have a field trip at the end of the semester, but wouldn’t it be cool to have trips more often than that.” Yang was saying, while chewing on a sandwich. “I haven’t fought a Grimm in days and I need to let loose.”

“I know what you mean.” Jeanne replied, after sipping on her coffee. “I’ve been feeling a little restless too.”

“We literally have facilities here for that.” Weiss told them while polishing off her bowl of soup with some bread. “Just have a sparring match.”

“You’re right... but it’s not quite the same as fighting the creatures of Grimm.” Jeanne explained. “There’s something really cathartic about it.”

“What she said.” Yang added.

Weiss rolled her eyes.

“I’m with them, Weiss.” Ruby said from beside her. She was dipping what was left of a pizza roll into a puddle of sauce on her plate. “Me and Yang would always slip out of the house to let off steam back home. Not being able to do that here sucks.”

“...I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who treated killing monsters like a hobby like you lot.” The Heiress said while eyeing them all with incredulity.

“Well, to be fair, the Grimm on Patch aren’t very strong.” Yang admitted. “All of them are young and the island residents often cull them before they can get out of hand.”

“So, they are more like pests than a real threat?” Weiss asked, somewhat interested in her teammates home life.

While they were discussing murdering creatures of darkness, Gray looked over to the other table. Blake and Ren were sitting together and getting along like before while Nora was asking about Pyrrha’s fights in the tournaments she participated in. He didn’t bother listening in. He also didn’t feel inclined to jump into either conversation. He was content to just listen to their lovely voices.

He also wasn’t good at judging when it was the right time to jump in and say something. Girls just seemed to know when to yap and when to let another girl yap. Seamlessly. Like they were all psychic or something.

No. Instead, Gray took the time to think about some things.

He had a meeting to get to that night and wondered how he was going to attend in the middle of the night. Did the airship services stay open past midnight? Did he need to leave early? If so, then when? Should he skip the last lesson?

Also, when should he next do something sexual? He wanted to fuck Jeanne at some point. Today, if possible, but they had a lesson after lunch. By that point his options to get to Vale were significantly limited. He wanted to make the moment special for her. Not some quickie.

Hmm...

Maybe if Jeanne and he skipped Grimm Studies and went back to her room. Then they would have enough time to get the deed done and he would have less things to worry about. He could plan his trip into Vale and get to the meeting with time to spare. There might even be opportunities to test his powers in the city away from known quantities.

Now, to get Jeanne and himself out of class, all he would need to do would be to use his power to make it “okay” for the two of them to not attend. That should be easy enough. A small command with his Semblance and off they go to bump uglies.

He must also remember to get his team to show him their notes in the morning. He couldn’t fall behind too much, even if his Semblance could take him through life on easy mode, he still felt the desire to put in some effort.

“If everyone is done eating, shall we go for a walk?” Pyrrha suggested to the two groups, just loud enough to cut through the chatter. “There’s still quite a lot of time left and I believe we still haven’t seen the whole campus yet.”

Everyone considered that proposal. She did have a point. Plus, he felt like burning off some of the food he just ate.

“Yeah, I think that’s a good idea. Just let me finish my fries.” Yang agreed.

The other girls said similar things and hurriedly finished what was left of their lunches.

“Aha! So, this is where the swimming pool is!” Nora yelled with excitement. Her loud voice echoed off the far walls.

They were all peeking into the large room with a large pool. There was currently no one using it as it was still lunchtime. There wouldn’t be much time for anyone to get any swimming done before the last class of the day, anyway.

“It’s so big!” Nora continued to yell. To which Gray had to turn his face away to hide the grin trying to form on his face.

“That’s what she said.” Yang quipped, making him turn to glare at her with narrowed eyes and a failing will. She winked at him knowingly.

“I’ve seen bigger.”

Both Gray and Yang whipped their heads to look at Weiss with wide eyes.

“What?” She asked nonchalantly. “Atlas doesn’t skimp on their budget for facilities like this.”

“...oh.” Yang and Gray shared a glance, neither of them realizing the look Blake was giving them from behind. The cat Faunus gave them both a flat look before rolling her eyes and following Nora, Ren, Ruby, Pyrrha and Jeanne further into the large spacious room.

The group walked along the side of the pool talking about how fun it would be to use the pool and when they would be allowed to. The curriculum wasn’t super clear on the time frame. It only mentioned that the pool would be open during summer for anyone. Would they be using it in their lessons? Would they use it during P.E class? What about after school? The gym would be open for students to use. Would the pool have the same policy?

“Now that I think about it... it doesn’t look like you could do anything besides swim laps here.” Yang was saying while looking at the water and holding her chin.

“Well, this school is for training. Not for having fun.” Weiss said.

Ruby gasped. “Then we should go to the pool in Vale when its summer! That place has slides and a wave machine and fountains and all sorts!”

Nora gasped next. “YES! That sounds more like it!”

The other girls all looked very interested in the idea. They all buzzed as they talked about what the Vale swimming pool had to offer.

“Gives me a chance to show off my swimsuit to Gray here.” Yang mentioned as she looked at him slyly.

That brought the girls up short.

“Wait, I... I don’t think I packed one.” Jeanne muttered. The others realized their own problems with swimsuits.

“You didn’t?” Yang asked.

“I didn’t really think there would be a pool here and I didn’t think we’d be going to a pool in the city. The thought never really crossed my mind when I was packing.” Jeanne admitted. Some of the other girls nodded along in agreement.

“So, did anyone else bring a swimsuit?” Yang asked around the group.

“I did.” Weiss raised her hand. “I knew there would be a pool after researching the school.”

“I also have one.” Pyrrha said, raising her hand as well.

The other five girls just stood there awkwardly.

“What about you, Gray?” Yang asked her boyfriend. All the girls turned to him, the sudden attention from eight girls' concerning swimsuits made him squirm a little. Though, the looks on the girls' faces were interesting states of embarrassed and anticipatory.

“I... think I packed some trunks. Maybe...” Honestly, he couldn’t remember. He didn’t know there would be a pool either.

There was a great big sigh from the blonde girl.

“Well, I guess that means we’re all going shopping at some point.” Yang told them. She looked them all in the eye to make sure they understood there was no backing out. When she got to Gray her look turned sultry. “And I’m sure this boy here would love to give his input for each suit we try on.”

All of the girls suddenly were reminded that he was indeed the sole boy of the group. They all squirmed in turn at the thought of him appraising their bodies in some clothing store. The two other girlfriends, Jeanne and Ruby, looked especially embarrassed. Nora and Blake had also blushed at the thought, though Blake tried to look completely unbothered. The only girls that seemed to recover from the thought were Pyrrha and Ren since they haven’t been approached by Gray like the other girls have. Meanwhile, Weiss looked a little shy, yet contemplative. And Yang was positively preening at the thought.

“Well, I suppose, if I must.” Gray said with a jokingly snobby tone, as if such a task given to him was a slight bother. Of course, it wasn’t a bother at all. And since he was smirking at Yang when he said it, everyone knew he was joking.

“Good. That’s settled then. When we next have free time to visit the city and go shopping, that will be on the list.” Yang clapped her hands. “Any questions?”

The girls shook their heads, still lost in thought over showing off for a boy.

They were now walking down a corridor in the main building. It was an aimless exploration. They simply followed where their feet guided them. There were other students here and there. There seemed to be more older students here. Any first years were likely still hanging around the dining hall or the grounds.

Gray was near the back of the group and was enjoying the view of teams RWBY and JNPR in their fluttery pleated skirts. Their delicious looking legs had him salivating at the thought of licking them up and down like a dog.

He could feel his libido calling out for some sexy time. He knew he had been putting it off all day, so now it was yelling its hormone driven needs at him with wild abandon. He wanted to fuck all of them. He wanted to fuck them all in a row, but of course he knew that he didn’t really have the stamina or experience to do that monumental task. A man could dream though.

He made up his mind. He would take Jeanne back to her room and fuck her on her bed. She had meditated, so she was safe from pregnancy. It would just be a fun and sexy worry-free lovemaking.

He activated his Semblance.

“I can skip any class I want without getting in trouble. I can also tell other students to skip any class without them getting in trouble. No one will think anything strange about me skipping class and no one will think it strange if I get someone to skip class with me.” Hopefully that covered all bases.

He turned his Semblance off and looked over to Jeanne. She was walking between Ruby and Pyrrha two rows ahead. They were chatting about something he couldn’t make out. She looked at Ruby with a smile and giggled at something the leader of his team had said. Pyrrha next to her also giggled.

They all looked so cute and pretty. The sight of girls getting along was a sight to warm a man’s chest... and his loins. He watched Jeanne for a time and looked down her body. Her skirt fluttered back and forth with her walking motions, giving him a teasing look at her upper thighs with every flutter.

The girls immediately in front of him were Ren and Blake and they occasionally blocked his view of the blonde. That didn’t bother him, though. He was happy to look at Blake’s butt too. Even with the skirt, her butt was quite defined. He really needed to have her bent over next to Yang just to compare. On his team, they had the biggest butts. On team JNPR, Pyrrha and Nora looked like they had the biggest out of their four.

At some point Gray would have sex with the others. After Jeanne, his next partner would likely be Ruby since she was the third to join his harem. Next might be Blake or Weiss, then he’d move on to Nora, Pyrrha and Ren. And once all eight girls were officially his girlfriends, he could then try some fun group activities.

For now, though, Gray waited patiently for lunch to end. Once that bell rang to signify the start of the last class of the day, Gray would take Jeanne’s hand and tell her to skip class with him.

My Patreon.A/N: I came up with an idea to help me continue writing, even if it won't be during those long boring hours at work.
I did some looking online for a treadmill that comes with a desk attachment. That way when I get home from work I can use it to exercise and write at the same time. The 'walking on a treadmill' part would help me because I often find pacing back and forth to help churn my creative juices. Also, exercise is just plain good for you, and I definitely need to burn some fat. Insomnia is also a bitch so getting tired enough to sleep would help me immensely.

So, don't worry guys. I'm trying to find ways to get back into the groove.

It's time for some funky time...
