The Masquerade

The bright pink neon lights read "The Masquerade" in cursive writing with a glowing mask for a logo flashing next to the sign. All my friends gasped once they realised where we were, 'No way!!! Jake you didn't!' Mike shouted with excitement as he and kassie jumped on the spot, meanwhile the other members of our group all chatted excitedly amongst themselves.

Jacob on the other hand was slightly concerned while also being excited, 'this is nice, but this must have cost an arm and a leg, I've heard this place is pretty fancy for a strip club.' He pointed out and he wasn't wrong about that.

The Masquerade is well known for its unique niche of giving everyone who enters and works there a mask, customers have to wear a given mask, the dancer's have to wear a mask and even the bouncers wear masks.

I quickly turned back to Jacob giving him a smile, 'well it did cost me some, but it's worth it to make today perfect for you two love birds.' I stated which seemed to ease Jacobs nerves around the cost of this place, 'so come on, I've got the tickets on my phone we just need to wait in line.' I explained as I shook my phone to gesture I had the tickets.

We all made our way into the line where we waited patiently, each step only helped to boost and soon we had finally entered the lobby where the bouncer stopped us from going any further.

The bouncer was a bulky man with large shoulders which was exaggerated by his black suit, the mask he's wearing is a normal looking black mask a gold trim, 'tickets?' he asked in a deep demanding voice which easily gained everyone's attention.

Without hesitation I unlocked my phone and got our tickets up showing them to the bouncer, his eyes moved across the screen as he double checked our tickets, 'ah yes the bachelor party, hope the love birds enjoy their time,' he said with a wink as he handed back my phone, 'the masks are right over here make sure to take one or you'll be removed.' he explained as he gestured towards a wall of masks.

Our group excitedly made our way to the wall of masks, there were so many masks to choose from but for the most part there are only two types, normal masquerade masks or animal style masks... But which one to use?
