The Locked Chest

This chest does seem pretty intresting to you, can always use more gear, and the worse it may hold could just be extoic spices for the cooks to use. Why not peak at what it holds? Strunting over to tbe chest, you bend over to grab a solid look at the lock. Pretty tough looking, but ain't much to someone like you, and fancy dancy magical sword now.

Grabbing your magical piece of gear, the handle begins to grow long, and sharp, as it shifts into a sword for you to wield. Raisng it above your head, you have the blade come crashing straight into heavy duty lock, slicing it off the chest, and sliding on the stone ground below. Easy work. You think to yourself, as you casually holster your weapon, you go to lift the top of the chest, and reveal what's inside it.

As the chest fully opens, something long, fast, and wet whips out thr pitch black void inside, knocking you backwards on your ass. Rubbing your cheek for a moment, you look back at the chest you just opened, only to find it staring back at ya. As it begins to spourt arms, legs, with teeth shooting out of it's opening, and the tongue that smack ya, slithering back into it's mouth. You had just freed a monster of it's captivity, a mimic stands in your path, ready to fight!
