The King gives Countess Geraldine an assignment

"You asked for me, your Highness?" Countess Geraldine asks, entering the King's private studies. It is currently late at night at palace.

The king looks up for what he is doing and stares right at the the Countess, replying, "No, I did not. In fact, this conversation never happened."

Geraldine raises an eyebrow as she nods. The king isn't usually secretative, so she's actually intrigued about what he could need of her.

"As, you know the relationship between the women in my family really poor. My daughters are constantly at each other like Cats and Dogs or elves and Orcs. And my wife, the Queen, is stooping low enough to have a similar antagonistic relationship with them," King Elards states in a matter of fact tone.

"Forgive me, your Highness. But I'm pretty sure everyone knows this," Geraldine says, trying not to sound condescending.

" I know. I have heard the nobility, guards and even commoners gossip about it. It is inferiorating. I want the women closest to my heart to close to one another, not at each others throats. Plus I can't have people thinking my house is divided. It's a sign of weakness," the King sighs, looking tired of this situation.

He then looks determined and states," It's time to fix this. I want you to help bring them closer together while punishing them as well."

"How would you suggest I do that, My lord," the Countess asks curiously.

The king looks down at his desk for a bit before looking back up and replying," By humiliating them."

"Sir?" Geraldine says shocked.

"I have heard stories of people being brought closer to due to shared stresses, such as humiliation. Humiliation will bring them together and punish them at the same time." The king explains. " I want you to humiliate the Queen and the princesses. I don't care how you do it. Using magic, tricking them, hiring others to help you, etc. Just get it and make sure no one knows I was involved."

Geraldine stands there shocked for a minute. She gets to humiliate the Queen and the princesses. She dislikes the royal family, especially the women, and now she get to humiliate them. This is a dream come true. Probably the best decision could make her opinion.

"Yes, your highness. I won't let you down," Geraldine states with confidence and happiness.

The king nods and dismisses her. After leaving the room, the Countess is practically skipping down the hall, thinking of ways to do it. She could curse them with her magic wand, hire mages to mess with them, hire thieves or thugs to rob them, etc. There are so many ways to do this. Geraldine can barely contain her excitement.
