The King's daughter

You pause for a moment to consider your decision thoroughly. There's no way you can turn both of their offers down, as it would prevent you from receiving their help and prevent strain on your relationship with the one nation that has and could provide you shelter from your uncle. High SunForce is offering his triplet daughters, who are by far the most beautiful elves in the land, while the King is offering you his only daughter... yet it would be seen unfavorably by your nobles to marry outside of the realm.

Since the triplets are the daughters of the high councilor, they come with an instant seat at the King's council once they are married. But the King only has one daughter, and barring her ****, it is elven law that she will be queen crowned queen on the one-year anniversary of her marriage, giving you considerable power and support and your heir control of both kingdoms. The choice is simple.

You turn towards Elizabeth and silently mouth I'm sorry.."

She simply nods in understanding.

You pause for a moment and inform the King of your decision, "With all due respect to High SunForce's offer, I would consider it an honor to marry the King's Daughter."

High SunForce turns to the King and bows, "I'm sorry my offer was not good enough..."

"It's fine, my good elf...." he chuckles. "It may be fun having a human as a son-in-law."

SunForce quickly snapped back, "But the kingdom,"

"This man was born to rule. Elven society is not so different than the Humans."

With that, the king motions to his daughter, and she walks over to you and whispers in your ear, "My prince, in Elven society, an unmarried woman of my stature has a name that is only known by their parents... until they join with their husband." She smiles and adds, "So, on our wedding day, you will find out mine."

You think back and realize, much to your surprise, that she is right. Every time you have seen an Elven female, she was called her by her parents or her husband's position.

You focus again once she adds, "Until then, you may call me by..." She whispers something in your ear on her tongue. She giggles when she looks at your face, realizing you would never be able to pronounce it. Smiling, she explains, "It means 'fiancé' in our language. If it's easier, you may call me by your tongue in private and princess in public...."

She takes her place to your right causing Elizabeth to step back. You already sense that there is going to be trouble between them. Next comes the King, like his daughter; he walks up to you and whispers in your ear, "The King's name contains the power for the elves; it must be kept secret and only be known by his most trusted advisors. When you become King, you will be given an Eleven name.... on that day, your name will be HighBlowingWind... the name of my grandfather who united the Elven lords."

He backs away, returning to his chair behind the veil, curing SunForce to speak; clearing his throat, he says, "We know your human ways, but we do expect you to adapt to the High Elveen path of honor. Once you are crowned King, we must insist that you stop all searches for outside 'relationships.'"

You see the King whisper in his ear before he adds, "Aside... from those made before in order for you to fulfill your prior obligations." He stares straight at Elizabeth as if he knows what she is thinking. "As for now, we must insist that you remain pure until they have passed. The honor of both parties demands it" He walks past you and leans in to whisper, "No matter what you have done for us, I will not allow you to dishonor our king."
