Chapter 40
by Suvinceus
A few days later...
The Journey Begins
August 17, 1979
The Warlords had arrived at Coney, where they would locate the Warriors's turf. Upon discovering it, they noticed that everyone was inside, but Dr. Feelgood knew they were going to change all that.
Wielding an empty beer bottle in one hand, he carefully aimed it at one of the walls, and with precise timing, he hurled the bottle into the wall, making a shattering sound, and prompting Swan and the others to notice from inside.
"Hey, did you hear something?" Rembrandt asked.
"Yeah, it sounded like one of those bums is angry or something." Ajax replied.
"Do you think we should go check and see what it is?" Snow asked.
Swan simply nodded before he and his men exited the building, leaving Mercy behind, as she sitting on the couch with a can of soda in one hand. And with that, the Warlords snuck into the building, and she asked, "What are you doing here? You don't belong in Coney, go back to where you came from."
"Oh, really?" Dr. Feelgood asked.
She could hardly respond as he grabbed her and, pulling at her arm, exited the building with her and the rest of the Warlords, but one Warlord managed to spray a small mark on the couch before he rejoined the others. When the Warriors returned, Swan noticed that something was wrong.
"Wait a minute...where did Mercy go?" Vermin asked.
As the Warriors began to debate on what happened to Mercy, Swan noticed the mark on the couch, and that it looked rather suspicious. "The South Beach Warlords, they're the Crescent Moons's worse enemy; to make matters worse, they've sided with the Rogues, They even took Mercy with them, and we're gonna need the Moons and Gamers's help to find her and fuck things up for the Rogues and the Warlords."
And with that, he went to the nearby phone and called up Slattery's estate's number.
At Sea Gate, Slattery had everything planned out for their attack on the Warlords and the Corporate Crooks. Just as he was about to assemble everyone, however, the phone rang, and he immediately answered.
"Hello? This is the estate of Slattery, leader of the Crescent Moons. Who is this?" he asked.
"This is Swan; I need you and your gang to help us track down the Rogues, as well as the Warlords. The Warlords have kidnapped Mercy, and we need all the help we can get." Swan replied.
"Very well, then. Looks like it's time to hustle." Slattery said before he hung up.
He then summoned Delores, Lisa, and the rest of the Crescent Moons from whatever they were doing, and leave for Coney. Of course, the leader hired a babysitter for the dog.
At Times Square, Highscore and Pacman received the same phone call from Swan, and that the Gamers agreed to help out. Once the two gangs arrived at Coney, the Warriors's leader began to explain.
"If we want to deal with the Rogues and Warlords personally, we're gonna have to deal with all the other gangs that have yet to trust us. I hear the Turnbull ACs are wanting a rematch against us, especially what we did to Birdie." he said.
"Yeah, but we got allies in other gangs, too, like Diana and the Bluebirds." Ajax replied.
"Exactly." Swan said.
"But what about the Yellowjackets? And the Shamrocks?" Lisa asked.
"I heard they're after us, especially when Brian and Michael received word of the events at a motel on July 27. They're both really pissed off." Amy replied.
"No matter, we're gonna deal with those guys, too." Highscore said.
"Good, now let's get going." Swan said.
The three gangs began their trek to South Beach, starting off in Coney. Meanwhile, Thrash and the rest of the Turnbull ACs were searching for the Warriors, wanting to get back at them.
"Was Birdie really that pissed off when he told us to find the Warriors and put those assholes in their place?" one Turnbull asked.
"Of course he was! If he didn't command us to track them down, we wouldn't be here, now, would we?" Thrash replied.
Eventually, the Warriors, the Crescent Moons and the Gamers would locate the Turnbull ACs, although they had yet to confront them. However, the bald-head Turnbull yelled out to them, "HEY! You fuckers get over here, so that we can kick your fuckin' asses and make you regret sending Birdie to the birdhouse!"
"What the fuck? He managed to escape from the police van that Carabello hijacked." Ajax said.
Jake scratched the back of his head and said, "I'm not too sure if I can fight them. Yo, Swan, Ajax, can the two of you handle them? If I come near them, they're gonna flip the fuck out."
"Just serve as a distraction to them, then we'll take care of the rest." Swan replied.
The blond Crescent Moon shrugged before he approached the trio of Turnbull ACs; that was when Thrash and the others nearly jumped out of their skin upon seeing him sporting a Crescent Moons jacket.
Taken by surprise...
