The Invention that won the Crown
After years of study and failed experimentation, I finally did it.
Placing the spectacles on my face, I began to see light, and color. Before very long, I could make out shapes as well.
I had done it! I could see again. Rushing over to a mirror I began to admire my creation. While very rudimentary, there was an air of elegance to it. With a small diamond in the center, diamonds known for their clarity and purity, and lenses crafted from polished Mana crystals, the effect had been achieved, not to neglect the effect of the silver frame of course. Silver has long been known to have purifying qualities, being used to ward off foul spirits and slay certain monsters and demons.
"Isabel!" I called out. "I finally did it! Come here!"
Within moments, Isabel burst into the room.
"It worked didn't it? I mean, of course it worked, You're looking in a mirror! You can see now can't you?"
"I certainly ca-" I exclaimed, turning around and seeing my master for the first time.

[The Emperor's New Clothes: Takes A Turn...]
What Happens If You Make One Or Two Significant Changes In The Classic Fairy Tale: "The Emperor's New Clothes"?
The Premise of the story is simple: This is the classic fairy tale "The Emperor's New Clothes", but something, something simple but profound, is different, and because of it, the tale changes direction totally... "What is different?" you ask? Well, each author can answer that for themselves: but in the first variation, the magical fabric the tailors are selling is REAL, and because of that, the Emperor can't see the fabric, but he can FEEL it in his hands, and so he asks one simple and profound question: "I understand it's magical fabric, but why would I want all the stupid people to see me naked?" The tailors, who had not considered this angle, now must come up with a good use for their magic fabric: or be executed as traitors to the crown for deliberately attempting to embarrass the Emperor...
