The Hench sidestory 2 Robot rumble

Mega man was staring out the window when Dr. Light was focusing on his newest invention and asked, "Mega man, hand me the smallest jeweler's screwdriver we have."

After a few moments, Dr. Light called out, "Mega man?"

Looking up, Dr. Light noticed Mega man looking forlorn and asked, "Mega man, what's the matter?"

"I... I don't know. I mean, I should be glad that Dr. Wily is behind bars and no longer has any robots, but..." Mega man said before sighing and looking at Dr. Light with a sad look. "We have no idea where his robots went. All we got from wily was that some barbarian wizard stole them."

"It is odd, but Albert did steal and work with a lot of strange inventions and chemicals. Perhaps they did a number on his brain," Dr. Light suggested, putting aside his invention and walking over to Mega man.

"I guess..." Mega man muttered. "There's also the fact Roll also just vanished. Wouldn't we hear of her bragging on some social media? Or even get a call from the police about how she's used her 'kung-fu' prowess on a few criminals."

Dr. Light chuckled in a fatherly manner, "Roll is quite spirited, but I don't think she'd be violent or go bragging. I honestly think she's merely exploring and seeing the beauty of the world. I'm honestly jealous and wish I could go on a similar vacation, but I have too much work."

Mega man seemed to cheered up a little and said, "Well, let's see if we can reduce the workload, so you can go on a vacation!"

Dr. Light nodded before asking, "Now, can you get me that screwdriver? that circuit board isn't installing itself."

A day later, Mega man got a letter.

Mega-dork! You've received too much credit for fighting Dr. Wily. I honestly think you need a lesson that you're no longer the top bot in town. I am the top bot. Meet me in the Quarry to the east of town or I will do something you will regret.

Mega man rushed to Dr. Light's lab and gave him the note.

"I need to go and stop this crazy bot before they start harming anyone!" Mega man said.

"We have no idea who it is. For all we know, it is a trap by Dr. Wily's robots," Dr. Light said. "I insist you take Rush with you and use the two adaptors we installed in him."

"What do they do?" Mega Man asked as Rush ran to his side.

"They allow Rush to combine with you into two different forms. One that grants a lot of punching power and the other that gives you the ability to fly. However, you'll be unable to slide or use Robot Master powers while wearing the armors," Dr. Light answered.

"Neat! Thanks, doc!" Mega Man said before he and Rush began to head to the Air Raider.

"Make sure to bring Eddie!" Dr. Light called out.

Mega Man landed the Air Raider nearby the quarry and said, "Rush boy, Eddie, make sure to stay hidden until I call you. I don't want either of you hurt or kidnapped."

"Roger, Rega Ran!" Rush said with a salute. Eddie merely nodded.

So Mega Man carefully entered the Rock Quarry, looking around for his opponent.

A figure in red-and-beige-colored metal armor landed some feet away from Mega Man. Their face was covered by a black reflective facemask. They said in a heavily modulated voice, "So... You've arrived. Let's see if your skills are still sharp after living in peace. Let us fight, bot to bot."

"Whoever you are, there's no need to fight. We can simply talk things out," Mega Man replied.

The robot's reply was to quickly fling a few Shadow Shurikens are Mega Man, who barely dodged them.

"So you're that Wizard Barbarian that Wily ranted about. I guess he's more senile than I thought," Mega Man muttered, switching one of his hands to an arm cannon.

The Robot shook their head before they said, "No, but I serve that person."

"Then they've done a world a favor. But seriously, we don't have to-" Mega man uttered before dodging a Gyro attack. "Stop that!"

"Very well. I shall stop doing that," The Robot replied.

Mega Man sighed in relief and closed his eyes. "Thanks. At least you're-"

He was flung back by an attack to his chest. After crashing into a boulder, Mega Man uttered with some pain, "What... Hit me?"

"A palm thrust to the chest, boosted by Gutsman strength. Now for some Quickman speed," the robot replied before vanishing.

They reappeared next to Mega Man, grabbed his head, pulled him out of the rubble, and smashed him into the ground, creating a crater.

"What a pity. I was expecting a fight with the Blue Bomber, not a training dummy," The Robot muttered before Mega Man grabbed their forearm.

"Now I got your Power!" Mega Man said, using his Weapon Copy system to try and take Gutsman power from the robot.

However, Mega Man felt nothing being drained from the Robot. Mega Man muttered, "What the... Where's the power?"

"I knew you'd try something like this, so I made certain my armor prevents you from taking my Robot Master abilities," The Robot replied before tossing Mega Man away. "And before you ask, I have all of them."

Mega Man stood up with some difficulty. "Armor, eh? You're not the only one who has it! Now boy!"

"Ruff Ruff!" Rush uttered, appearing out of nowhere and transforming into what looked like football armor and boxing gloves. After Mega Man came into contact with Rush, the armor appeared on Mega Man.

"Now let's see who is stronger now!" Mega Man said before launching a flurry of punches.

The Robot let Mega Man's punches land, but their body language told Mega Man that they were unharmed, but were surprised at how much **** was behind each punch.

"Well, I see Dr. Light saw the potential in hand-to-hand fighting... finally," The Robot muttered in annoyance.

"Leave Dr. Light out of this," Mega Man spat.

"Fair enough," The Robot replied. They delivered a sucker punch to Mega Man's head as they said, "My turn."

After that, the robot delivered a flurry of punches to Mega Man's torso. Due to the Power armor being powerful-but-restrictive, Mega Man couldn't dodge very well.

When Mega Man was reduced to low energy levels, the robot stopped and let Mega Man fall to his knees.

"Now I should let you know who I am," The Robot replied as they picked Mega Man up and let their facemask retract.

"No... It can't be... Roll?!" Mega Man uttered.

"Yes, it is, Mega. I found someone who saw my potential for fighting and inventing. They were the one to defeat Wily and even granted me permission to show you who is the superior bot!" A smirking Roll replied before she gently put Mega Man on the ground. "I know Eddie is somewhere nearby to recharge you. I'll return someday to truly defeat you and help my master rule the world."

"Roll... this isn't you. You've been reprogrammed. Come with me back to Dr. Light and we'll get you fixed!" Mega Man said in a panicked and concerned tone. He tried to stand up, but couldn't find the energy to do so.

Roll just stared at him with a frown before teleporting away.
