Where does my career go from here?
The Handicap Match
In the world of pro sports, there are frequently tragedies of timing. My promotion to Omega was one of them. Once you receive that promotion, other fighters view you in a whole new light. If you win the way I do and fuck the way I do, it doesn't take long for people to second guess facing me in the ring. When I put out feelers for an even match, I received no responses. The vets still felt I was a just a dangerous greenhorn that would damage their reputation, while fresh meat thought I would squash them like I squashed The Constrictor and Jack. It was then I was informed of what is traditionally done here: a handicap match.
Matches with special rules occurred fairly often. Wether it is about the outfits that are used or adding safety rules like no chokeholds, special rules have occurred about once per night every night that I fought. But I hadn't seen a handicap match. These are special rules specifically designed to nullify a fighter in an attempt to get someone to accept a match with them and generally boost fame in the event of a victory.
So with that all said, it's safe to assume that my next opponent will be entirely determined by what handicap I am encumbered with.
