The Golden Dildo!

Soo-yin lingers in the room a bit longer as you peer up ahead with the lantern. Soon she is ready and you are on your way. The passageway winds deeper through the body of the mountain. It's circuitous route makes you think the original builders probably followed a natural fissure through the stone. You see a huge chamber up ahead. A diffuse shaft of natural light could be seen beaming down through the dust and pollen filled air. That told you it was the daytime, you and Soo-yin had slept right into the next day. You turn off the lantern and creep forward. The last pictures you notice on the walls around you were of the couple coming out onto a balcony overlooking a crowd of people. As you move forward you see the remnants of this balcony, it looks out over a huge open circular cavern.

The shaft of light comes in from an opening at the top of the chamber, it illuminates a raised platform in the center of the area. Upon the dais was a pillar upon which sat the golden idol glinting in the light! To you it looked like a fat dildo with balls and a square base.

"There it is!" You hiss, trying to keep your voice down.

To your left was the main opening to the temple, a path of light beamed in from here as well. The warriors guarding the entrance could be heard, you could smell their crackling fire. The idol sat in plain sight of them. Dammit!

Besides the shaft of light in the center of the room and the illumination coming in through the entrance the chamber was otherwise cloaked in darkness.
