The Girls

It had been mere minutes since you had walked out of the house the girls were already sniping at each other. For hours they sat in the living room going at it, before realizing that it accomplished nothing went on with their days.

Elise had gone into the guest bathroom and had opened something that she got at the pharmacy a few days earlier. A three-pack of pregnancy tests. She had had a few signs that seemed like morning sickness. Her bras had seemed tighter, and she just felt like she was pregnant. If they were positive she had a plan to win you over, but if not it was no harm no foul, she would open the other package that she had gotten.

She went about following all of the directions to a tee and sat on the toilet waiting. At one point while she was waiting Anne had chosen to call a friend and was talking about how amazing her life was, how amazing you were, and generally how everything was perfect, even though her bitchy, bratty younger sister had decided to move in without much of a chance to tell her not to.

Eventually, after what seemed an eternity the tests were done.
