The Gift of Knowledge

Regaining his composure, the man snapped his fingers and I felt myself regain control of my body. Too shocked to do much of anything I looked up at Katelyn, who was rushing towards the door. I watched as she reached out to turn the door knob, but her hand never made contact with door knob. It was like there was an invisible barrier preventing her from touching it. "I told you..." The man let out a sigh. "You can't escape." He motioned with his index finger for her to return to the center of the room. Katelyn spun around and returned to the center of the room. "And you will be playing the game." He reached out and patted me on the knee. "Katelyn, just chill out like Adam."

"Please let me go..." Katelyn collapsed to her knees and began to plead. "Please. I'll do anything... You can take whatever you want from me... Please!"

The man held up his hand and his fingers made a motion like a mouth shutting. Katelyn's mouth instantly shut. "If you are going to keep bitching and moaning I will take away your ability to speak." He leaned over to me. "By the way there's a card that will do that. You know... In case you get sick of her running her mouth." He motioned with his hand for Katelyn to stand back up causing her to lift off the ground and land on her feet. "Are you ready to play nice?" Katelyn just stared at the man in terror. "Fine..." He snapped his fingers and the looked of terror faded from her face. "There. Now are you more relaxed?" She sheepishly nodded yes. He turned his attention back to me. "I just flooded her brain with a mixture of dopamine and THC. It will wear off in a few minutes, but we should be able to get the ball rolling now that she's high as a kite." The man slapped me on the knee. "And just because I am feeling generous and you've been such a good sport I am going to give you a treat."

Being almost as terrified as Katelyn had been I struggled to speak. "What's... that..." I asked softly.

The man snapped his fingers and I felt a massive head rush. "Now you know what all the cards in the game are." He tossed his arm around me. "I've found you mortals are willing to gamble more if you have an idea of what some of the more powerful cards are."

I closed my eyes are tried to picture what the cards were. Instantly an array of cards appeared in my head. "Holy shit..." I was shocked by the power of some of the cards. "I... I..."

The man cut me off. "Just don't worry about the why right now. What you need to do is focus on is the opportunity that you have in front of you." He made a spinning motion with his finger and Katelyn began to slowly twirl for the two of us. "Just think, you could quit beating your meat on a nightly basis and have your very own fuck-toy to have your way with." I felt his hand squeeze my arm. "I'm glad you agree with me." His words sent a chill down my spine. He was still actively reading my mind. "So, are you ready to begin?"

I made eye contact with the man who was mischievously smiling at me. "Sure..." I said nodding my head.

"Then let the game begin!" The man dropped a 6-sided dice in my hand and motioned for me roll it...
