The Giant Slayer

Renee finally used the sword she had forged. The people around witnessed the young redhead, previously recognized as a symbol of humiliation, wield her sword with strength and precision as she advanced on a man in a suit who appeared larger and stronger than her, dodging a blow he seemed to deliver while his hand was encased in ice. The redhead attacked with precision, her sword penetrating the frozen skin of the giant's forearm, severing it from his body. The giant screamed in his humanoid form, his cry echoing through the night and drawing the attention of more people who were leaving their homes late at night. In the distance, some children pointed at the "superheroine" while talking excitedly to their parents despite the frightening scene.

Moradin's awakening naturally attracted too many ice giants nearby, who saw Renee at the scene of combat and saw in the distance the shadow of a great serpent, Poketnaru, in the skies, being fought with rocks and lightning. The sacred battle between the mad god and the god of the mines was not in a position to be interrupted, but a young woman alone... perhaps could be taken down.

The rain and lightning made the night more terrifying, strong winds and thunder composed the orchestra of the redhead's ferocious fight. Giant after giant, she kept her head held high, cutting them down and piercing them with silent fury and genuine excitement. She maintained her posture, advancing between them with one target in mind: Orel.

The leader of the giants moved further and further away, shouting orders confidently; his soldiers obeyed him, but were increasingly terrified by the martial prowess, the resistance, and the strength of a seemingly harmless young woman. A few people dared to record this on their phones; a few cameras showed moments where Renee split tall men into shapeless chunks of ice. The vast majority, however, were preoccupied, whether with the unfolding battle, the mysterious rain, or the water level that seemed to be rising too quickly.

Renee continued advancing; a total of 72 soldiers were attacking her, some already downed, some wounded, all terrified. All except one, who remained at a distance giving orders that were not always obeyed.
