The Fukuneko Festival

After I essentially fucked my way into the Ameno clan I figured I should head back to the inn. Sagiri and Hibari stayed behind to take care of some family matters so I was going it alone. Of course for me it was easy to get a free ride but as we were driving down the road something caught my eye. It looked like another festival was going on! I thoroughly enjoyed the demon slayer festival so I had the driver drop me off so I could see what this one was about.

“Hmm? What’s it all about?” an old man I had met said. “Why, it’s to thank all of the various cat gods for all their hard work!”

“Cat gods?” I asked as I looked around.

Indeed, there were a lot of statues and artwork of different cats all over the place. Now that I was thinking about it I remembered that Yaya was possessed by a cat god. I wonder if these were anything like that. All the artwork was cute and all but I did think it could be better.

“This is all great, but aren’t cat gods normally sexy women?” I asked the old man.

“Huh? Oh yes I suppose they are! I don’t know why there aren’t any accurate representations here...maybe they took some creative license.”

I smirked as I walked away from him, thinking about the next festival they would hold. There’d be sexy cat girls all over the place. I chuckled to myself but stopped when I looked up to the sky. There were various figures flying about! Not just any figured either, they were all anthropomorphic cat girls! In fact, someone was riding on her head! It was a girl that looked to be 18, and when she turned her head to look at me I realized it was Yaya!

“Ah! Muryo!” she exclaimed.

The giant cat girl she was riding changed course and headed toward me. As she land on the ground with a thump Yaya kept down to meet me. I saw that she was wearing a yukata for the festival.

“Yaya, what are you doing here?” I asked.

“Yaya comes here with the cat gods every year!” she answered.

I glanced over at the cat god she was riding. She was at least fifteen feet tall! The fact that no one around was staring at her or the other cats in the sky told me that nobody there had any spiritual senses. Thanks to my normality Yaya didn’t seem to think anything of the fact that she was riding a giant woman. I found myself staring until Yaya got my attention.

“Muryo! Can you come to the Fukuneko shrine tonight? Yaya wants to show you something!”

“Huh?” I said as I was snapped back to reality. I saw the hopeful look on her face and agreed right away. “Of course I can!”

“Thanks! Yaya needs to go and get ready! See you tonight!”

The cat woman then kneeled down so Yaya could climb back on top of her. They then took off into the sky, joining the other cat gods. I just stood there watching that giant ass fly away before turning my attention back to the festival.

“Well, guess I have some time to kill...” I told myself. I spent the rest of the day just enjoying the festivities, knowing that an interesting night awaited.- - - - - -

Later that night I made my way to Fukuneko shrine just as Yaya asked. What greeted me there was a plethora of cat women, all of them just lounging around. I expected as much after what happened earlier but it still sort of amazed me. In addition to normal sized girls there were quite a few that were larger, just like the one I saw earlier.

“Oh, you must be Muryo!” one of them said as I walked up.

She was about my height and had mainly white fur with patches of orange and black. She was wearing a happi coat that concealed a modest pair of breasts. Other that that she was completely nude, her lower half exposed. Looking around I noticed that all the other cats were similarly dressed in festival garb.

“I’m Saburo, the tortoise shelled cat god! Nice to meet you!” she said.

“Uh, I’m Muryo.” I told her. “So what’s going on here?”

“The Fukuneko festival of course! Every year the various cat gods gather to relax and have fun together! Even those who normally possess humans show up!”

“And Yaya comes too?”

“You bet! When she first showed up it caused a bit of a stir. That Shiratama...instead of separating for the festival she just brought her host with her! It didn’t take long for Yaya to become a friend to all cat gods though!”

“She does grow on you.”

“Muryo! You came!” she exclaimed as she rushed toward me.

“Yaya was hoping you would show up! She told the cat gods all about you! They all really wanted to meet you! Yaya told them you would help with tonight’s performance.”

“Performance huh? What do I have to do?”
