The Final Solo

John now turned his sights on the friendly, bubbly barista. John approached where she was and was surprised to have her great him.

“Hi! My name’s Melissa, what’s yours? It’s pretty slow around here did you need anything?” Melissa just kept a big smile on her face while seeming to show genuine interest.

“Well I’m John, I would like a fresh coffee and you want to give me your number on the side.” John said genuinely surprised by her personality.

“Of course coming right up!” Melissa said turning around and immediately starting to make his coffee.

John was going back and forth in his head on how to proceed with her from here. He didn’t expect anyone decent to be here. Especially to have one that seems to treat everyone equally.
