The Final Hump Day of the Semester

That day went mostly like any other. Wild students were pumped for the holidays. Frantic students were worried about finals and projects. Teachers longed every moment for the final bell to ring while newer teachers were busy getting all the grades sorted. A typical day so close to the end of the semester.

Leah was glad to have had a typical day without much issue. Her planning period appeared and she knew it would sooner rather than later be over but she did have some free time. She could go see Mr. Howard which could certainly be one way to keep her chance for tenure high, or she could work on grading some papers during this hump day--grades would need to be finalized pretty soon. Of course she could also just relax and enjoy scrolling on her phone surfing the web catching up on a few Instagram channels or watching a TikTok video or two. She could also give Jonathan a call and see how he was doing.
