The Family Album

It was Saturday after breakfast. You were half-listening to the feed as Carrie and your dad talked on the couch.

"Hey Daddy ... I found this family album during the renovations." You looked sharply at the camera. You were pretty sure everything had been destroyed, but ...

"Wow, Barbie, I haven't seen this in ages." Your dad pulled out his reading glasses, and they spent the next half hour looking at photos of everyone but you. Your spider sense started to fade, when -

"Hey Daddy, there is another photo behind this one." You panicked, looking into your drawer. The photo was gone, and was now in Carrie's hand: Cathleen with two kids in pink dresses.

"Oh, Jesus. Well, that's Cathleen, the little one is Sam, and the older one," your dad paused, taking a ragged breath. "The older one is my son, John."
