The Corruptor continues to Corrupt Cyclops

The Corruptor was thrilled.

He'd gotten in Scott's head almost immediately, which said quite a bit about the leader of the X-men.

Mainly that his faith in a lot of things weren't nearly as strong as he'd put on.

There had to be a reason for that.

He made sure to keep his ears to the ground.

From what he heard, a mission had gone wrong ages ago, causing someone to be killed and another arrested, and Scott still felt guilty for it.

It didn't help that Wolverine was openly lusting after his girlfriend.

It was clear that both of those situations gave Scott a lot of insecurities that he hadn't dealt with and the Corruptor was more than happy to help him confront the problems in his life.

The two had little talks here and There after the hiring, The Corruptor unknowingly softening him to his final corruption.

All Scott knew was that it seemed like this guy truly understood him in a way no one else did.

Scott was clearly more than ready to follow his guidance, which meant that the Corrupter was ready to begin the final part of his plan to corrupt him.

"Let me ask you something, Scott." The Corruptor began.

"Why are you still with Jean?" He asked.

Scott didn't give an indigent answer that he'd have given before he met the Corruptor, instead he gave a weak "Because she loves me" in response.

The Corruptor immediately seized on the weakness that Scott was showing.

"But it's not really a secret that she's into Logan as well." The Corruptor responded.

Scott stopped in his tracks and glared at the Corruptor.

"You don't know what you're talking about." He snarled at The Corruptor, angry that he'd hit a very sore spot.

"Sorry if I touched a nerve, just saying that you deserve the best in everything, after all, you're the leader and you're the one keeping these people alive." The Corruptor declared.

"Yeah it's frustrating, that's all, I'm glad at least you're trying to look out for me." Scott said.

"I think a lot of people care about you, Scott probably in more ways than you realize." The Corruptor said.

Scott shook his head, but the Corruptor refused to drop this subject.

"You haven't ever thought about any of your teammates like that?" He asked Scott, who denied it, but The Corruptor saw right through him.

"You're surrounded by incredibly hot women, you're telling me that none of them have caught your eye?" He asked.

Scott had to admit that his denial was pretty weak, but he wouldn't put any of those women ahead of Jean in terms of hotness.

"You can think she's the hottest, but that doesn't mean that most guys wouldn't kill to spend a night with Storm or Rogue, even with her powers." The Corruptor declared.

Scott was getting annoyed with him and he quickly tried to shut him down by telling him that they were like family to him.

"But they aren't your family, they're two hot women, both of whom would probably love to give you the night of your life...unlike Jean." The Corruptor countered.

Scott had decided that enough was enough and he got up to leave.

"Look, Scott, I'm just saying that you have a lot more options than you realize and maybe it's time you start looking for someone that actually respects you and isn't busy lusting over some tiny Canadian shithead." The Corruptor said.

Scott merely walked off without saying another word to the guy he thought was his friend.

The leader of the X-Men was deep in thought at the words that had just been said to him, maybe he was right, maybe it was time to start considering his other options.

He had a lot of soul searching to do.

The Corruptor considered this a big success, but he knew that he had to really do something to seal the deal with Scott.

And the perfect way to do that was by having a little chat with Logan.
