The Continent of Vessaria

Note: I didn´t intend on publishing this chapter just yet, but I forgot to save as a draft and ended up publishing it, so what´s being described below is mostly incomplete information, since I haven't finished writing this section yet. But feel free to read what's in there.

What most people refer to as the "Continent" is unique landmass, stretching from the southern jungles, to the northern boreal plains, shrublands, steppes and generally cold climates. And the rest is a gradation of those climates, this means the landmass is located north of the planet´s equator. It is also not a Pangea, that is, Vessaria isn´t the only landmass in the world, this was proven by the sudden appearance of the Behat race of Doom Cultists, who wasn't originally from this continent, but appeared from the eastern ocean on enormous ships and established themselves on a great archipelago there, implying there is another continent, or at least isles where they came from, but this has never been confirmed by the Behat themselves, who terminantly refuse to tell stories of their origin place nor why they ended up migrating from a whole ocean away, but their religion might suggest them came fleeing something so terrifying that not even those technologically advanced peoples want to mess with, prefering instead to sacrifice a hundred men daily to assuage whatever evil they think is coming.

Geography and Climate:

As said above, the climate range from the **** cold of the north to the hot, humid hell that is the southern regions of the continent. And everything in between, including deserts, savannas and semi-arid regions in general in the east, temperate climates at the center and western regions of the continent. Particularly interesting, to us, is the climate surrounding The Valley Dross, the Dross are the second biggest mountain range in the continent, losing only to the Dwarven-dominated Igrif Mountains, in the east. The Dross Range is located close to the center of the continent and its shaped like a very subtle semicircle and at its center, is the Dross Valley, where the Steppe Elves, possibly running from religious persecution, established themselves, the Valley is surrounded by the Dross Range and the Harting River, that circle and delimits the border of the Valley. Its climate is temperate and the region is dominated by a pine forest, intersected by smaller subsidiaries of the Harting River and some grasslands, the region is unsuitable for agriculture, due to its poor soil, but nevertheless it's a significant source of food for the peoples living in there, they complement it mostly with hunting, gathering and imports from the great farmlands in the prosperous Yarod Kingdom, a historically to the Dressund Dynasty. Most of the population is of human origin, but there are also significant populations of Steppe Elves, Halflings and even a small community of Dwarves, closer to the mountains.
