The Clinic

I walked to the clinic, the pain in my neck getting worse, like a muscle strain. The waiting room was bustling with people being called by nurses in scrubs, checking in and the front, and taking a seat. I walked up to the check in counter. An elderly nurse in grey hair was typing on a computer. "Hey ma'am, am I able to talk to a nurse?" I asked sweetly.

"What do you need help with sonny, groin strain? Need me to take a nice LONG look at it?" She said with a wry smile.

"Oh well um no I just you know what I think I am all good" I say as I turned I bumped into another nurse. "Oh god I'm sorry!" I said.

"No worries! I was too close to you, I heard you had some kind of issue?" She said smiling sweetly. Her black hair short and parted on the side. Her green eyes shined close to the same color as her teal scrubs. "I'm training with a doctor here this summer hoping finish nursing school in the fall, I'm Kate."

"Nice to meet you Kate, well you really look the part in those scrubs" I said again astounded that another beautiful woman was talking to me again.

"Thanks, are you a student too?"

" Yeah I'm starting college in the fall, just living with a family friend for the summer. My name is Dustin."

Her eyes lit up, "A fellow student! What are you planning on studying?"

"Well I haven't thought that far ahead yet, but medicine seems like a good idea now." I grinned at her.

"What brings you into the clinic, Dustin?"

"Oh well I thought I might have pulled a muscle in my neck" I say rubbing the area my shirt had been pulled. I was quickly spun around as Kate began to gently massage my neck with her soft hands. I let out a moan.

"Doesn't seem torn, maybe a bit of inflammation? I would take some over the counter pain medicine and maybe use a warm compress before bed" Kate said clinically.

"That feels really good" I whispered.

"What the hell is going on here Kate?" An older blonde doctor interrupted. She had a one a tight blue blouse that hugged her large breasts, a smart white suit jacket and white pencil skirt showed the flair of her hips. She looked somewhere between a doctor and an administrator. She approached the two of us, and I thought I may have smelled brown liquor on her breath as she got close to us. "You can't be treating patients out in the open of our busy waiting room, even if they're cute, either get him a room or tell him to take a seat and wait." She snapped.

"Sorry Dr. Kendall" Kate said blushing, "Dustin I think you should be okay, you don't have to wait here, just follow what I said. Also I'd love to discuss medical studies if you think you want to go into this field." Kate called another patient and took them into a room.

"She's cute isn't she Dusty." Dr. Kendall has gotten even closer. I for sure smelled ****. "It's okay Dust, she's shy, so it's nice to see her opening up to a cute guy like you. Just don't go breaking her heart, she's got a lot of book smarts, but isn't incredibly naive when it comes to street smarts"

"Thanks Doctor, I'll uh, keep that in mind" I said heading for the door. One last stop before heading home...
