The Chronivac

It was Jeff Anderson's twenty-first birthday as the suns' rays hit his eyes, forcing him awake. He was just about finished rubbing the sleep from his eyes when he got a knock on the door. "Jeff!" the voice said. "You got a package."

After putting on a t-shirt and jeans, Jeff opened the door and walked out of his room. He passed by his father Michael. He was an older gentleman, with his beard being replaced by white and grey rather than natural dark hair. Ever since Jeff's mother passed when he was young, Michael had taken it upon himself to be the one to take care of his young son. His sacrifices didn't go unnoticed, as Jeff grew up with the best education, met his first girlfriend at a private school, and graduated college early.

And now, Jeff returned the favor. He got a two bedroom apartment, one bedroom for himself and the other for his father. Michael smiled as we watched his grown up son open the door and look down at the mysterious package.

Jeff grabbed the mysterious package and picked it up, groaning as it was heavier than he thought. He took it back to his room and opened the box. "Dad!" Jeff exclaimed. "You're gonna want to see this."

Michael groaned as he got off of the couch and made his way to his son's room. "What is it, son?" he asked as he stepped inside.

"It's...it's a computer! It says it's called The Chronivac," Jeff responded. Immediately, The Chronivac beeped, saying that it had successfully scanned Michael Anderson. Michael walked closer. "Transformations? Change genders...become an animal? What the hell did you order?"

"I don't know," Jeff responded, nervously. "I must've been high." Michael rolled his eyes but continued looking. "I think I want to try it, Jeff. I actually have a secret."
