The Cheerleaders Split Up, Leaving Katie Alone

Katie ran awkwardly, her movements somewhat impaired by the vibrators taped to her.

She was already a few seconds behind the other girls, and she watched as, apparently without discussion, they split into teams of two. Samantha and Ashley were one team, Cat and Krysten were the other. Each team then took off in different directions. Katie tried her best to keep up with the others, but was unable to. She watched as the two teams ran off in different directions, leaving her alone in the middle of the woods.

Katie might not have minded being left alone, except that she had no idea where the parking lot was. In fact, she had no idea where she was at all.

She tried not to think about anything, focusing only on getting as far away from the Northwood East players as she could in the eight minutes she had. She tried to figure out if there was any strategy she could use.

Eventually, Katie stopped. She hid herself against a tree while she caught her breath and tried to think about her options. She was aware that she could vaguely hear the sounds of pursuit. The eight minutes must be gone.

Where was she? Where was the parking lot? She doubted this was the usual paintball course; that was too well-used for the Northwood East players to be able to pull off this sadistic game without being caught.

What could she do? She was by herself, which she didn't mind, as she had never completely trusted her fellow cheerleaders. Somehow, she had to figure out where the parking lot was and reach it without being shot once.

Maybe she could get out of the playing area and look for help. Was that possible?

Perhaps she should just hide and try to wait everyone out.

Or maybe playing the game as set up was her best option.
