The Chamber of the Egg-Sacks

Sir Knowles called out to you, telling you to stop and wait for the group. By the time he'd said it, you'd already rounded the corner and could clearly into the blue chamber. Your jaw dropped. The scene in front of you was beyond horror, beyond description.

The vast chamber, bathed in the blue light, was a sea of webs. There was a thick-spindle of webs covering most of the floor, the walls, and all of the ceiling. Vast clumps of the sticky substance was piled here and there. And amidst it all there were shapes moving, squirming.

The chamber...it was filled with people. Girls.

It could be hard to tell, because most of the girls were so totally covered in the webs that the person beneath was totally obscured. But the feminine shapes of the captives was a testament to their gender and the fact that they were squirming and groaning was proof that they were alive. There must have been dozens of women in here, completely submerged in total bondage.

Although, their shape was not entirely alike that of a normal woman. You quickly noticed the bloated bellies that was visible, even through the layers of webbing. For some of the squirming captives, it was just a slight bump. However, there were others with prominent stomach bulges, as large or larger then their breasts. They looked heavily pregnant.

Your hand slid over your armored belly.

There was close to you that was hanging from the ceiling. You drew closer to her, transfixed. How long had been left hanging like that? Had she gone insane? Her body squirming lightly in her bindings, seemingly aware that something was nearby, yet entirely incapable of communicating with you.

As you drew closer to her, she suddenly shuddered. Her entire body shook and a loud, guttural cry came out. Albeit, muffled by the webbing over her face. For a moment, you thought she must have been in pain. Something didn't feel right about that though. You knew what cries of pain sounded like and that was all wrong. It almost sounded like...she was moaning.

And when she shook...did she just...

Your eyes darted to another of the poor women. This one was partially uncovered. She was still bound like the others, but the top of her head was free, as was much of her abdomen. You leaned closer to get a better look.

Despite the fact that you were now standing in front of her, she looked right past you. If there was any awareness at all that salvation had come from her, you couldn't make it out. Her gaze was empty and unfocused. You were at her door, but no one was home.

Then there was her stomach. It was so swollen and stretched. Her veins were clearly visible. Yet, there was something uncanny about the sight too. Her belly was slightly misshapen, with little lumps poking further out. Whatever was in her stomach wasn't human.

You stumbled back. By now your face was totally white. Was this...was this what the Arachnae Queen did to women?

"Egg-Sacks." A voice behind you said softly. You turned back to find Sir Knowles standing above you. There was something in the way he looked at the squirming figures. Perhaps, it was pity.
