The Ceiling

With a strong enough grip, you’d be able to get up there. You’ll have to climb up there using all your strength. You shake a ceiling tile out of the way with a broom.

Your muscles strained themselves as you pulled yourself up into the ceiling. Your arms shaking, your legs quaking, everything in your core was being engaged. You got your upper body through but now your hips were the way. It took everything in you to pull yourself up. Beads of sweat were forming as you tried kicking yourself up. Your chest heaved as you finally got your legs through. Just in time as a group of seekers came through. You quickly replaced the tile. You could feel your body having burnt calories in the thousands.

“Well she has to be around here somewhere” one of the seekers said, opening cabinets. Before getting to the cabinet under the fryer.

“What are you kids doing here?!” A voice came from outside the kitchen. Revealing itself to be the voice of a cafeteria worker. The students scrambled out of there. The cafeteria workers emptied out the fryers cold UCO, cleaned the counter, and washed the dishes before leaving.

Eventually an announcement came over the PA system: “will Arya Vulet return to Coach Tanaka’s class”
