The Capital

Finally at the massive wall i was completely stunned at its size.

“What the fuck happened here?” Kolby asked.

Looking over at horse stables near the entrance we saw dead horses with giant slashes on their sides. I’d guessed drones. My mates went and looked checking in. I don’t think they had even realized I hadn’t followed them. I approached the wall. There were so many people around just through the large open gate. I saw 5 alpha’s probably my age watching me. Judging by how they were looking at me hungry they were clearly unmated. It was the only time Alpha’s found any Beta other than their own attractive. They were around 7 feet tall and clearly soldiers.

One let out a little wolf whistle.

“Damn ain’t you just a pretty little thing! Where’s you Alpha’s love to be them!” One said laughing as the other 4 grinned looking me up and down.

They walked towards me. I didn’t really like being the center of their attention. These 5 had absolutely nothing on my Alpha’s

“You should save the complements for when you find your mates.” I said calmly as I looked at them and the walls.

“Hey cmon now we’re just looking. Take the compliment bitch.” One laughed loudly.

I raised an eyebrow. This would not play out well for them. Calling me a bitch and staring at me like this would definitely get them killed. My mates nearly killed 10 just for looking at me on the road here.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” I said quietly.

One snatched my arm aggressively. Looking at my insignia.

“Sick tat who did it?” He asked. His fingers pressing against my shoulder.

“Came when I bonded.” I said calmly.

They laughed loudly like I made a joke.

“Yeah that only happens to the Royal Beta and Alpha’s and their missing! So I’ll ask again who did your tattoo! This time I expect you to answer you little bitch!” He said squeezing my arm tighter till it stung.

I started feeling nervous. Suddenly I felt a huge surge of panic. I now knew my Alpha’s knew I wasn’t with them. They also could sense my nervousness.

“Let go of my fucking arm prick!” I snarled.

He laughed and punched my stomach. I doubled over in pain slightly. I pulled my arm back and swung connecting it with his jaw. I attempted to remove it from his grasp. I felt an intense surge of anger from one of my Alpha’s.

two of the five gripped my shoulders tightly. Looking behind me Starstruck, Awed, and slightly nervous by the looks of their faces. I heard loud stomping.

I heard them laugh. “Oh you’re so dead now!” He whispered.

“Royal Alpha Kolby! It’s an honor to meet you! Hey we found this unruly Beta who doesn’t listen to an Alpha commands!” He said looking at me smug.

“GET YOUR FILTHY FUCKING HANDS OFF MY MATE!” he yelled.

They looked at me frightened as I stared annoyed. I felt myself be snatched back and Placed behind Kolby. In a Split second he pounced onto the one who had been very aggressive with me. His fist slamming into his face repeatedly.

Seemed they remembered what we’d talked about. Marky and Dylan came up behind me seeing what had happened. They had removed their upper body armor and helmets. Dylan and Marky looked at the new bruises on my arm from the Alpha Kolby was attacking viciously. The other four stared at me horrified realizing who they had been harassing and that I had in fact told the truth about my insignia. The mark very evident on my Mates chest as well.

Marky and Dylan charged forward attacking the other four. They simply cowered and let them attack. Hoping that their submission to the **** my Alpha’s would enact would at least not kill them. On one hand I hated this. On the other this was understandable and completely in line with how my Alpha’s could be. Especially with me being the target of a random street harassment. It wasn’t the Royal Beta’s place to tell how the Royal Alpha’s punished other Alpha’s I also didn’t want to emasculate them with the crowd of onlookers who all dropped to their knees frightened of my mates rage. I looked away. Listening to the attack. The crowds eyes were on me too. Stunned to see the now clearly evident missing Royal Beta. I wasn’t sure how to act. Did I watch as a show of strength from my Alpha’s?

After a few minutes Kolby grabbed the male and threw him against the wall. The other four were on the ground groaning In pain. I saw the Alpha Kolby had attacked still breathing. He ran over to me. Looking at my bruised arm kissing it. Marky and Dylan walked back over. The three looked at the crowd that formed.

Kolby snarled at the crowd. They all cowered in fear. He addressed the Alpha’s.

“You Alpha’s listen very fucking closely. You DONT EVER ATTACK A RANDOM BETA ON THE STREET!” He snarled.

The crowd of Alpha’s that we’re watching shook in fear. All nodding their heads in understanding.

I looked at the few Beta’s in the crowd.

“If it happens too you don’t ever hesitate to tell me. It will be handed with accordingly.” I said to them calmly.

All the Beta’s nodded their heads in understanding.

Dylan slung an arm over my shoulder and Marky placed a hand on my lower back. Kolby walked forward and kissed and nuzzled my forehead.

“This is Dean Somber. He is our Beta. The Royal Beta. This is his very first day in the capital. I will not sully his first memory by killing today. Starting this instant attacking a Beta randomly in the street is now a capital punishment. Swift and violent executions will be given to any Alpha if you cause physical harm to any Beta.” He snarled.

He looked at the 5 now **** Alpha’s.

“What should we do with them?” He asked the other two.

“Strip them or their positions as solders. They’re clearly not up to the task to protect and serve, guards take them to prison they’ll be whipped once daily for attacking the Royal Beta. Hold them for 10 days. Remind them of the new law we made and let them acknowledge our final act of mercy. Like Kolby said we will not tarnish our Beta’s first memory by killing for today.” Marky ordered.

4 guards stood up ready to follow commands they summoned a few more and carried the 5 **** Alpha’s away. With that we walked through the street. Everyone stopped and looked at us as we passed. Amazed and awed or even slightly nervous and afraid. Everyone bowed their head getting out of our way as we walked towards the castles. I was stunned at how so massive the city was. It was like a maze of buildings and homes. I could see so many shops and places. The food smelled amazing as we passed by. I smelled things I couldn’t even understand. We proudly wore our insignia. it took a bit before we reached a massive gate. The entrance to the Royal castles. The castles were massive. Maybe 200 feet tall. A fortress through and through as well as our home. I knew it was the heart of the military. My Alpha’s the new heads of it. Before we even had a chance to walk up around 70 soldiers lined up and saluted us. The gate swung open automatically. We walked into the front yard. Two guards opened the massive black stone doors into a large front room with stairs on both sides. They led me with them as another massive stone door was opened. A huge room with massive columns led down a black marble hall. I saw massive black stone chairs and a single white one. I saw a older man sitting in a chair with another smaller one next to him in the white one. Their eyes fell on us.

“Well looks like you guys made it back in one piece. No surprises there you are the Royal Alpha’s after all.” The taller one said.

“Well now look at the insignias, crescent moons in black. Looks like the moon god favored you three especially. The silent god hasn’t been active in quite some time. Nobody even worships him anymore.” The smaller one said.

Their eyes fell on me. The taller one had a look of knowing.

“Well this must be Dean Somber. Making this group the Somber pack if him being here and covered in your claims on his neck are anything to go by.” The taller one said amused.

My Alpha’s bared their fangs at him.

“Now now Rex darling. That’s no way to speak to the Royal Beta.” The smaller one touted.

“Yes you’re right where are my manners. I’m former Royal Alpha Rex and this is former Royal Beta Maximus. Pleased to meet you Royal Beta Dean.” He stated.

I nodded in acknowledgment. I felt my Alpha’s grip on me tighten slightly. Not forgetting our conversation but doing their best to not rouse suspicion.

“Pleased to meet you both. Exciting to be here.” I said smiling.

“Mmm like wise.” Maximus stated.

“I must admit my surprise. When our scouts said they arrived they said they saw so many Burrowers and a dead body. We figured you must have been killed in such an attack and we figured our precious new Royals were grieving.” Rex stated.

“Ahh….no. That was my father Cole.” I stated. I didn’t need them to know about Atlas and mine’s true relationship.

“Oh I’m quite sorry. Please forgive Rex I’m sure with these three you’ve come to understand subtly is not a strong suit for Alpha’s.” Maximus said with a frown.

“Yeah absolutely not. It’s alright though I’ve had time to grieve properly for what happened.” I said smiling slightly.

Maximus nodded in understanding. I liked him more than Rex who gave me creeper vibes. Maximus seemed regal and maybe snotty but more understanding of the situation as a whole.

“Well Rex the time has come. The Royal Beta is found,The Alpha’s have bonded and gotten their insignias. You take these three and I’ll take Dean. We must ensure the power is transitioned. We can finally retire.” Maximus stated with a tired sigh standing up.

My mates did not like the idea of us splitting up. I took their hands.

“It’s alright I know it’s hard. I’ll be back soon you three need to go with Rex and I’ll be with Maximus. We’re in the safest place in the world right now.” I said soothing them. I kissed their lips. their hands reluctantly let go.

Maximus waited by a white side door for me with a smile.

“Alpha’s love them, but they can be so over the top sometimes with us.” He said chuckling.

I smiled and followed by his side. We exited the room and the door closed behind us. I could sense their anxiety.

“I’m sorry your trip here was quite…..er…..eventful.” He said with a smile.

“It’s okay. I’m just glad it’s over.” I said with a smile as well.

We walked along a massive hall. Pillars were open and allowed sunlight in freely. It clearly lead to Beta castle. Beautiful red and pink flower vines grew freely along the wall and pillars. He was talking to me about what we’ll be doing.

“We’ll get you in a nice change of clothes. Something your Alpha’s will love, I’m sure you’re gonna love what they’ll be wearing after they’re done as well.” He said smiling softly.

I laughed.

“Well I’m sure they’ll like anything I wear.” I said chuckling my cheeks feeling hot.

We entered the White Castle. It was very similar to the Alpha’s except it was white marble floors and columns instead of black marble. A single chair sat in the throne area. We took a side door on our left. A massive room with a white crown sat in the center. It was beautiful and had a mass of 6 colored gems in the center.

“This here is the crown of the Beta. The gems represent the 6 gods.” He said with a chuckle as I looked at it.

“It’s now your crown.” He stated.

He opened a drawer and he pulled out a white skirted armor that wrapped around my waist. And a while collar that was meant to hang over my collar. He handed them to me and we walked out. He led me up some stairs in the back of the room to a large white room with a square pool in the center.

“There’s soap on the side it will make your pheromones smell more noticeable. This is the private bath for you. Your Alpha’s can come though. You may find yourself never using this one much as the Alpha one is far closer to your mates chambers which I’m sure you’ll be using as well. Theirs is also far bigger. I’ll be in the throne room.” He said laughing.

With that he closed the door and left me alone. I could sense my mates anxiety with me not near them. I focused on a positive emotion and felt them relaxing. I stripped and climbed into the pool. The water was hot and relaxing. I sat down as I realized there was a second smaller square in the water around the whole pool for sitting. I used the soap and began to wash myself. All the dirt and grime came off. The soap didn’t have any smell from what I could tell. After several minutes of cleaning myself and relaxing my muscles I climbed out. Putting on the armor around my waist and the collar which went over my shoulders and covered my upper neck and collarbone. I looked into a mirror for the first time since I left home. The collar covered my bite scars on my neck from my mates except right on the top. I looked at the armor on my waist. It came down in white straps with extremely soft fabric to my knee caps. It left my pecs and abs exposed as well as my back. I slicked my black hair back. I stepped to the door and opened it seeing he had left white sandals by the door. I put them on and headed down to the throne room.

Maximus stood in the center looking at the white chair. He saw me walk down.

“You look great!” He said smiling.

I nodded and thanked him. He led me to the chair and sat me down. Placing the crown on my head.

“I hearby crown you the Royal Beta, Dean Somber.” He said quietly with a smile.

He stepped back and bowed. I stared awkwardly. It was just the two of us in the room. It felt…..not that exciting. I started laughing slightly. I noticed that there was nobody in here except us.

“So does nobody use this castle?” I asked laughing slightly.

He chuckled.

“No not really. We beta’s long stopped using it. Alpha castle is the primary one. Royal Alpha’s don’t allow Alpha’s into this castle except them and Beta’s don’t tend to leave their dens as they usually get pregnant rather immediately. The side door we came from is the only entrance into this castle that isn’t locked.” He said laughing slightly.

I nodded in understanding. It was a shame though. This castle was bright and beautiful.

“Ready to get back to your mates?” He asked chuckling with a knowing wink.

I laughed as I stood nodding.

“Yeah probably for the best. Before they send out a rescue party.” I said chuckling.

We walked back the way we came. The little trip over and back only took 30 minutes. We entered the room as Rex was crowning my Alpha’s. They wore a similar outfit except all black with some red undertones and no collar and black sandals to match. Their muscular rock hard abs and pecs on full display. They looked at me with a grin. Me and Maximus watched as Rex placed three crowns on their heads. The crown was black and looked like it was made of vines and thorns. He stepped back.

“I hearby crown you the Royal Alpha’s, Kolby, Dylan, Marky.” He stated with a bow.

Lots of Alpha guards were kneeled down and began to clap.

“Long may they reign.” They chanted in unison.

Maximus nudged me. Smiling,

“Sorry I know theirs was a bit more fun.” He said laughing slightly.

I smiled and chuckled. I was happy and proud for them right now. We began to clap. We noticed several heads had turned and looked at us. Shock on their faces.

“You’re quite beautiful for a Beta.” Maximus said with a nudge.

I looked around noticing unmated Alpha’s were looking at me with red cheeks. I rolled my eyes.

“Good genetics I guess.” I said laughing. Thinking about how I was the Beta version and spitting image of my handsome ethereal father. I hoped I’d get to talk to him soon I found myself missing him.

I felt a pang of anxiety from my Alpha’s who were now watching me intensely worried about my sudden sadness. I mouthed “thinking about my dad.” To them.

They nodded their heads in understanding.

Within minutes all the guards dispersed and returned to post around the room. I walked down the steps and the three ran up and grabbed me pulling me into a tight hug. I noticed their scent was extremely powerful right now. Perfuming the air in the entire room. I wondered if they had also used the soap.

They let out little wolf whistles as they looked me up and down. They sniffed me smirking and grinning.

“Well hey there beautiful love this outfit on you. We missed you.” Kolby said with a cheeky wink leaning down and kissing my cheek.

“Yeah this outfits nice but I think I preferred what you wore in the den.” Dylan said smirking.

“We’ll get him in it soon toppings and all” Marky said smirking as well.

I grimaced slightly as I laughed knowing he meant their cum. I hugged them.

Rex and Maximus watched us. Rex’s face seemed annoyed where as Maximus had a smile.

“Well Rex, Maximus it’s been a pleasure. We’ll be retiring with the Royal Beta to our chambers. Rex don’t forget what we’ve discussed.” Dylan stated.

Rex nodded in understanding. Maximus waved and they left the room.

Marky picked me up bridal style and carried me as they walked down and past a doorway. We walked through a well lit black hall and Dylan lazily kicked a door open. The room was beautiful. It was black and white marble with a massive bed at the back wall. A huge TV with tons of games next to it. I saw swords and weapons of tons of different verities all over the walls. I saw a door with white curtains they clearly led to a balcony. Several door on the right.

“Dean welcome to our den, welcome home.” They said kissing me.
