The Blackwell Hellfire Club

They say that the Vortex Club was once a social program formed in Blackwell Academy in the 80's when bullying started to be acknowledged as a problem in the American education system. Like all well-intentioned groups, it was soon co-opted and corrupted from within by the yuppies and preppies it was made to condemn.

Sick of the bullshit, two of Blackwell's students had decided to start a revolution. No one knew their names, or whether they were still students or even if they existed. If anyone knew who they were, no one was willing to share it to authority figures, students playing dumb at the identities of "The Lioness" and "The Butterfly".

Originally this secret club started with Blackwell's drama kids, sick of the Vortex Club and its nonsense. The club would grow in size, bolstered by the nerds and punks and townies. Messages would be left for its members in the form of sharpie drawings in bathrooms or defaced Vortex Club posters. School staff either thought it was the product of meaningless gossip or had no idea where to even begin.

They say that this secret schoolyard society were up to all kinds of trouble. ****, underaged-drinking, premarital sex, vandalism. Nothing the Vortex Club weren't guilty of, but without the political connections or PTA money to give them a free pass. The school's lead security officer Frank was dead-set on finding the culprits, even if he had to interrogate every student in the school, unaware that one of its founders was his own step-daughter.

This was the Blackwell Hellfire Club.
