Kase, Amanda and you were dining at a local seafood restaurant. You were all making small talk. Work, school, fun. But you finally had to settle it down.

"Kase, we asked you here for a reason. As you know, I got that diagnosis. And it isn't good. But I'm worried about Amanda, I really am."

"You don't have to be, I'd look after her," Kase responded comfortingly.

"I know that, Kase, which is why I'm here. Amanda is going to be ... dating ... twelve men this summer, to see what kind of guy she is into, and maybe to get serious after. _If and only if _I don't get better. So you're my first round pick, buddy." Kase looked dumbfounded.

"I ... you .. really?" he said speechlessly, looking at Amanda.

"Yes, Kase, I'm looking forward to getting to know you in that way." Amanda said.
