The Bar

Kelli stepped into the club, his eyes widening in amazement. It was like nothing he'd ever seen before. The bass reverberated through his body, the lights dazzled his senses. The dance floor was massive, and a disco ball hung over it like a glittering orb. Men and women filled the room, either dancing or at the bar getting drinks. The entire room seemed alive, kinetic. The smell of booze and sweat filled his nostrils.

He loved it.

One detail did stand out for the young man, and since clubbing wasn't one of his normal pastimes, he was unsure of how odd he should find it. Just like at the office earlier that day, upon closer inspection, the women in the crowd were actually men. Men crossdressing. Maybe it was the light in the room, the smoke machine discharging, or even the crowds making it difficult to focus, but it was only when he got within arms reach of the men that he noticed.

They hung off their male-dressed companions, teasing their drinks, dressed very suggestively. Kelli was quite surprised at how shameless the crossdressers were, tiny skirts, low-cut tops, super high heels. One man was wearing a star-spangled-banner themed bikini and see-through plastic stripper platform heels! It was a lot to take in for an inexperienced, slightly conservative-minded man like Kelli.

Pulling up the hem of his lycra minidress slightly, Kelli sat down on a padded barstool next to his companion, Spirit. It was nice to get off his heels for a moment, still unaccustomed as he was to wearing such grown-up and sophisticated shoes. Not only had he never been to a club like that one before, but he'd also never been accompanied out by a woman as intensely gorgeous as Spirit was. Maybe the other men in the bar would be jealous of him, thinking he'd actually landed a woman as fine as she. It was Girl World, after all, and miracles did happen.

Spirit held up a finger to the bartender, who in turn handed Kelli a martini glass with a red liquid inside.

"It's a cosmopolitan," Spirit said over the pounding bass, "To celebrate your night out."

Not much of a drinker, Kelli nervously took a sip. It was wonderful! The sweet and tangy flavor exploded on his tongue, he couldn't resist taking another sip, and another. Spirit had picked out his outfit and now his drink, and Kelli couldn't have been happier with his stunning companion. Kelli couldn't have been happier with his companion.

That's when Kelli's eyes were drawn, almost magnetically, to the door.

In the midst of the pounding bass and dizzying lights, Kelli's gaze was drawn, almost hypnotically, to the entrance. And there he was, a crossdresser unlike any Kelli had ever seen before. Leaning on the burly doorman's shoulder with one hand, the other zipping up a sleek leather thigh-high boot. The transvestite's outfit was a sight to behold - a leather skirt that hugged his body tightly, a bodice that accentuated his manly, and a jacket that screamed "bad boy." But it wasn't just the outfit that made him stand out. There was an energy coming off him, like a spotlight shining down on him. He was so... real.

Kelli couldn't take his eyes off of him.

He watched as the newcomer straightened, smiled, and gave the bouncer a kiss on cheek. The bouncer reciprocated the friendly gesture, slapping the man on his leather-clad behind. Then, as if the bouncer was completely forgotten, the man put one foot in front of the other and beelined for the bar, sidling up next to where Kelly and Spirit had settled, raising a hand to get the attention of the bartender.

"Ah, Jon!" Kelli was shaken from his daze by Spirit's voice, "I was wondering when we'd run into you! There's someone I want you to meet!"
