The Amazon Isles

The Amazon Isles occupy the heart of the Central Sea. While there have been various tribes and villages on the islands since time immemorial, the patronage of the moon goddess Ama, whose dominion includes ships and sailors, has allowed the Amazon Isles to master the oceans in a way no other nation has ever managed.

The heart of the Isles is the island known as Lesbos, or literally "The Gift". This isle was raised from the seas by Ama herself to serve as a home for her chosen people. From there, the Amazons have expanded outwards. They have colonized or conquered many other islands, and have a number of settlements along the coast of the Central Sea. These settlements act as primary contact points between the Amazon Isles and the other nations of the Central Sea.

The Isles are ruled by a council of Elders, elected by the populations of the major isles and cities. This council meets at Lesbos, and acts as the ruling body for the Isles as a whole. Similarly, each individual city, isle, or province has its own council of elders to manage local affairs.

The Amazon army is minimal, but their navy and marines are formidable in both size and training. Due to the limited resources of the Isles, the Amazons largely sustain themselves by trade and transport, and as such strive to maintain favorable relations with all the various realms of the Central Sea. It is not unknown for the Amazons to offer their services as neutral mediators or couriers between warring realms, allowing for negotiation in relative safety on both sides. The symbol of the Isles is a silver crescent on a black field.

Ama's Blessings

As a people, the Amazons have been blessed and altered by their divine patron on a scale that no other race or nation attains. The Amazons are, of course, entirely female. Where all other women require the aid of men to bear children, the Amazons have been granted two means by which they may increase their numbers without men becoming involved. First, if one Amazon brings another to orgasm during the five days of the full moon, there is a slight chance that the one brought to orgasm will be impregnated with a daughter, one who will be in all ways the biological child of the two women involved. There are superstitions stating that this blessing will only function at night or only if Ama's light is touching the woman at the moment of orgasm, which Ama has refused to confirm or deny. Unfortunately, due to the fact that Ama was working outside her proper divine sphere when she crafted this blessing, the chance of pregnancy due to this blessing is substantially less than the chance of a non-Amazon becoming pregnant by the seed of a man. This is partially counterbalanced by the fact that 100% of the Amazon race is capable of becoming pregnant, but even so the Amazon birthrate is notable lower than that of unaltered humans.

In addition to the homosexual reproduction that all Amazons are capable of, Ama's chosen priestesses have been blessed with, among other powers, the ability to transform normal women into Amazons via lesbian sex. This ritual will only function on women who have never been impregnated by a man, and as with the rite of impregnation can only be used during the five-day period of the full moon.

There are also certain more minor effects of Ama's blessing. Amazons are slightly stronger than pure biology would indicate, strong enough to match men despite lesser muscle mass. They also do not menstruate.

The Binding

While the Amazons have been blessed by their divine patron, there is a price to pay for every gift. If an Amazon becomes pregnant by the seed of a man, the blessing shall be inverted into a curse of submissiveness and obedience, making the former Amazon the devoted **** of their impregnator from that moment on. In addition, the nature of the magic is such that Amazons are effectively supernaturally fertile. They may take man's seed in their mouths or bowels or on their skin without harm, but if even a drop enters the womb they are almost guaranteed to become pregnant, no matter the time of the month.
