The After Hours Soap !

Debbi was curled up on the sofa in Sally's flat, studying her script. She was staying there for a week of filming on the soap. "I'm sorry to be such bad company but I've got to learn these lines" she apologised to her friend. Fortunately, learning the stand up routine had given Debbi some practice but this was the most acting she had so far been given to do in the soap. Reg the producer had initiated Down On The Farm : After Hours as an occasional spin off, which was to go out in a late night slot and so could consequently be more risque.

"So what's the plot ?" Sally wanted to know. "It's going to address the #metoo situation" Debbi began. "My character's studies are suffering because of her having to work as the strippergram to pay off the tuition fees. Despite her grades, the randy old tutor offers to pass her ( that is , me ) if she ( that is, I ) will sleep with him" she explained. "Sounds a lot more dramatic than the jokey stuff with the stag night" said Sally. "Yeah. But Reg says he wants to stretch me artistically. He's confident I can handle the characterisation" replied Debbi. "Really ? I reckon he just wants to get your kit off again ! Is there a nude scene ?" Sally wondered. "Yes. I'm to be naked in bed with the tutor and then get up and walk to the window and put on a robe. They'll shoot it from the side and back."

"So you're gonna be in the nuddy in bed with Brian Daniels ?" Sally laughed, referring to the distinguished middle aged actor who played the tutor. "Seems so" Debbi confirmed. " Better be careful that doesn't turn into a real #metoo situation" Sally warned. "I hear he has quite a reputation among the ladies on the soap !"
