The 2nd Semester Begins

It was still the first week of January and students would soon be groaning in displeasure about the end of the Christmas holidays (while parents secretly rejoyced to send their students back to their daytime keepers). But before students would return to Pleasant Plains High School the teachers had a Teacher “In Service” Day. Simply called a Teacher Work Day to anyone not working in the comfort of the school system’s central office. A day without students was always considered a holiday by most teachers. A time to get things ready for the semester. A time to relax and catch up about their fellow teachers’ holiday gossip or time to stream Netflix and scroll through Tiktok until they could slip away.
