The 10, 8, & 7.

If Jessica had been playing to win, she would've tossed 1 of the 9s. But she was playing to not have the losing (low) hand. She tossed 3 cards.

The 3 cards she got weren't much better: The King of clubs, the 3 of hearts, & the 2 of diamonds. "But," she thought, "it should be enough to make sure I don't have the losing hand."

Unfortunately for her, she did have the losing hand. Tony won the hand with 4 7s, while Bev & Denise both had a pair of face cards.

Laughing nervously, Jessica removed 1 of her sandals. "Guess this does it," she says. "Um, Jessica...," Denise instructed her. "The shoes count as 1 item. Also, belts, purses, earrings & such don't count as items of clothing."

"Oh," Jessica said simply as she removed her other sandal, & placed them on the floor beside her. She could tell this game would get serious in a hurry. She was having serious 2nd thoughts about this as Tony dealt the cards.
