The "Nemo Of Utopia" Selction

"Ah, yes, Nemo of Utopia, a clear literary pseudonym if I ever saw one. 'Nemo' is a reference to the great classic the Odyssey, and was a pseudonym itself used by Ulysses when he confronted the Cyclops Polyphemos. It's literal translation is 'No-Man' but more accurately it could be said to mean 'No-One'. The Surname refers to Sir Thomas Moore's great work of speculative fiction on the proper role of government 'Utopia', which again is a none too subtle negation of his very identity, because the word 'Utopia' broken down into its constituent parts means 'Land-of-Nothing' or, more accurately translated, 'No-Where'. Thus this author claims to be 'No-One of No-Where', which I should think indicates much about his feelings regarding the entire enterprise in which he engages with writing in our community..."
