The "ENF" Meter picks something up again

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

Before Mackenzie was about to climb up the stairs out of the basement, her "ENF" Meter has squawked again, picking up a signal of energy somewhere. Mackenzie excitedly raised her meter, turning and twisting, trying to find the location of where the energy was coming from. It was almost like the spirit was moving somewhere.

"Come on, where are you? Where do you think you're hiding?" Mackenzie whispered.

Finally, the meter beeped even louder when it was being pointed to a narrow dark hallway. Mackenzie shined her flashlight into the hallway which led to nothing but pitch darkness. Mackenzie had to admit, she was a bit scared to walk in the dark hallway all by herself, but she didn't want to miss her chance and have this "spirit" disappear just because she gave in to her own fear. Plus, she wasn't exactly fond with idea of meeting her team right now without any pants on. Mackenzie raised her walkie talkie.

"Mackenzie here, I just picked up a strong signal down in the basement again. I'm going to follow the signal. Come meet me here, over and out," Mackenzie said

"Roger that, over and out," Aaron staticky voice replied.

Before the signal began to grow weak, Mackenzie reluctantly went down the dark hallway keeping the signal strong. She stuck the walkie talkie and the "ENF" Meter on her leather jacket wrapped around her waist while holding her flashlight and her rolling camera.

Mackenzie walked down the hallway, following the signal of the meter. The redhead was quite surprised how far the hallway went. No light was able to reach down this hall and yet, it still kept going. The wooden floor continued to creak from each step underneath her boots. The sound of her shaky breath and her beating heart amplified in her ears along with the beeping device.

Distracted by the beeping signal and the eerie feeling Mackenzie was getting from the hallways, she once again failed to notice her leather jacket that was securely tied around her waist began to loosen.

"MACKENZIE...! *Static* MACKENZIE!!!" The walkie talkie beeped.

Mackenzie nearly jumped from the walkie talkie that her leather jacket easily slipped off of her, allowing both the walkie talkie and the "ENF" meter to fall on the floor.

"Goddammit!" Mackenzie yelled.

She quickly bent down on the floor to pick up everything that she had dropped, but was confused when the only thing she had found was her "ENF" Meter.

"What?" Mackenzie thought.

Mackenzie stood up and shined the light around her and heart immediately sank when her walkie talkie and her leather jacket was nowhere to be found.

"Oh no no no no no!!!" Mackenzie repeated over and over.

The bottomless redhead began searching frantically for her walkie talkie and her leather jacket but they were nowhere to be seen no matter where she shined her light.

"Come on, where is it? Things can't just disappear out of thin ai-" Mackenzie stopped and realized, "No way!!! It can't be!!! I've never heard of such thing! Why would a spirit do something like this?"

Sure, Mackenzie has heard of evil spirits haunting people, but never taking someone's articles of clothing. What would they even want with it?

Suddenly, in the middle of Mackenzie's questioning, the flashlight flickered off...
