That talk they needed

"Yeah. It's about last night?"

Evelyn shot Spencer a baffled look. "What about last night?"

"It wasn't a friend that called me. It was my in-laws."

"In-laws?" Evelyn then took a second to process what he meant. "Ohh... Right."

"Yeah."

"Sorry... It's a bit unconventional."

"It's okay. I mean you're not wrong."

"So they coming to visit?"

"Yeah. This weekend."

"They know about me?"

Spencer nodded. "I told them. They probably wouldn't mind meeting you."

"Well, maybe on Sunday."

"Sure. Anyway, how was your day?"

"Good. Have something to tell you as well, actually."

"Yeah?"

"I'm thinking of taking my boys and visiting my family during Summer Break. Not settled on it, but I figured one last holiday would be good."

"One last?"

"Oh, I haven't told you, have I? The boys are gonna move in with Clay after Christmas."

"Ah, okay."

She flashed a smile. "Means I get to spend more time with you."

"It sure does. Will you have them for the weekend?"

"Probably. Anyway, it's good Clay's in their life."

"That's true. Have you told him about your plans."

"Yeah. We had lunch at the cafe. I'm sure one of the mothers will tell you when it's time to pick up Amy."

Spencer chuckled. "If only they knew what we got up to here."

"Think they'd be pretty jealous."

"Can't blame them." Spencer kissed Evelyn's lips. One kiss led to another and another before Spencer rolled on top of Evelyn.

The moment their lips part, Evelyn said "W-wait wait wait. We got time?"

Spencer looked to his clock, that read '2:44'. Spencer's grin gave Evelyn the answer before he could speak. "We sure do."
