What's next?

That evening

Later in the day Geralt and the other witchers retired to the main hall in the keep where they huddled around a wooden bench by a blazing fire to keep warm in the chilly nights. They had put Cassie up in a spare room in one of the towers of the fortress. No one talked about it, but the knew that the succubus would be more trouble than it was worth, in fact Geralt had rescued it and dumped it on them, they knew that he wouldn't stay long at the keep. Their chats that night drifted to Ciri, and Geralt's dream of the Wild Hunt. "Maybe it was just a dream." Lambert said trying to placate Geralt's worries.

"It's more than that Lambert, I can feel it. I've had dreams like this in the past, and they've all come true." Geralt said.

"Well, we can't do much until we know where she is." Eskel said.

"That's what pisses me off, is I only knew where she was I could go rescue her before the Wild Hunt could even get to her." Geralt said.

"We taught her to fight Geralt, we have to trust in her ability until we can find a way to reach her." Vesemir said, always with sage advice. Geralt knew Vesemir spoke true, there wasn't much he could do for his adopted daughter now but be ready for when the time came that he was needed. Geralt looked up sharply as he heard the cry of a crow, his hand instinctively went the swords at his back, and he could see the other witchers do the same. His hand relaxed when the bird disappeared in a flash and in its place fell a piece of parchment that floated down to him.

"Mhmm, lilac and gooseberries." Lambert sniffed the scent travelling through the air. Geralt smelled it too, which could only mean that the letter came from Yennefer herself. Geralt let the letter fall into his hands and read what it said.

"Vesemir, it seems as if Yennefer is also aware of what hunts Ciri. She wants to meet at a village called Willoughby near Vizima." Geralt said.

"Hmm, that a ways away. We should get going if we want to get to her as quick as possible." Vesemir said to which Geralt nodded.

Without them knowing Cassie listened to their conversation from behind the wall, when she got what she wanted to hear, she ran back up to her room and climbed down the outside of the tower with a piece of rope and ran into the night. She hoped Geralt would forgive her, but if she didn't report to the Wild Hunt, her family would be murdered.
