That Carol comes clean

"I'm willing to listen." Carol answered and took a seat. Meeting her daughter's gaze, she took a moment to clear her mind. She no doubt needed to listen carefully to what Caroline suggested for the sake of fostering a better bond with the older of her two grandchildren.

"You should come clean to my daughter." Caroline answered and Carol froze. Staring down at her lap, it took everything in the grandmother's power to hold it together.

While she very much got where Caroline was coming from, she had no clue how exactly May would react. Would she disown her and flee? Would she even be willing to listen? Or would she just think that her grandmother was crazy and in turn, start an argument with Caroline?

Those questions and more swirled about her head at the moment. Or at least, they were until Caroline reached out and gave her mother a squeeze. Feeling quite good, it was enough to put her at ease.

"I'll give it a shot." Carol announced and **** her gaze back up. Meeting Caroline once more, she took the time to wipe away any tears that might be threatening to come down.

Once she had done that, Carol stood up. Letting out a deep breath, she headed back over to May.
