But before Kanami could piece it together, another Kalar was speaking up. “Bring the male to the holding pen. As for the girl, the queen wishes to see her.”

The two where separated and Kanami was escorted to the largest building in the settlement. This must be where the queen lived, Kanami mused. That could get rather awkward. Rulers tend to not like it when you **** their subjects.

As queen tends to do, queen Pastel sat on her throne looking very queenly.

“Is this the intruder?”, she asked. “...why is she moaning?”

“Yes, your grace, she does that sometimes.” One of the guard jerked Kanami back to her feet. “We don't know what their purpose was, but we can't imagine it being anything good.”

Oh yeah. They have no idea what we are after! Kanami simply need to play this smart! Feign ignorance and trick them! “We...we just wanted to pick some mushroom. Lethargic mushrooms! Lethargic mushrooms for my boyfriend! He likes them!”

“I see”, the queen nodded. “That's sounds reasonable. In that case we will simply...wait a minute.” The queens blue eyes narrowed. “You are cursed.”

Kanami gulped loudly. “I-I am not cursed! I don't even know what curses are! Something to eat? Are they tastier then lethargic mushrooms? Ehehehe.”

“Don't lie to me, foolish human!” Pastel's eyes started to glow. “Three curses actually. You have to sneeze constantly, have no control over your bowels and...”

“Your majesty?”, one of her guards asked. “What is it?”

The queen answered with a blush. “I-It's nothing! It's a very shameful curse!”

Kanami could at least agree with that assessment. “Can you help me with this curse? It's really annoying!”

The queen nodded. “Of course I could! I am Queen Pastel of Kalar! Such a miserable little curse is no match for me!”

Awesome! Finally a chance for Kanami to get rid of this! “Would you uh...be so kind then.”

“Hmph, and why exactly should I help you?” Pastel looked upon the ninja in disdain.

Kanami had to admit that this was a valid question. Usually she didn't have to go out of her way to advertise herself “I am a very skilled ninja! I can kill things for you. Or steal stuff.”

Pastel pondered that for a bit. “I am skeptical. I see little what a human like you could bring me...although.” She looked at her guards. “Leave us.”

Naturally the guards protested about this sudden dismissal, but the queen was adamant. “Do as I say. some little human is no match for the Queen of the Kalar. If she tries anything I curse her with something far worse then what she is currently afflicted to.”

With little choice, the guards withdraw from the throne room, while Kanami waited with bated breath what exactly this queen might want from her.

Pastel meanwhile, seemed to be in no hurry to speak. It almost looked like she was somewhat hesitant. “I am sure you have noticed”, she began. “My....crystal.”

That she did. Actually, didn't the mage specifically request a red crystal?. “It's very beautiful. A very nice color. You must be proud.”

“P-proud?”, suddenly the queen grew angry. “Are you mocking me, human?”

“N-No of course not!” Kanami quickly tried to salvage the situation. “W-what is the issue here? You don't like red?”

“You aren't aware?” Pastel let out a sigh. “Such ignorance, but I suppose this is typical for you humans. Didn't you notice that almost all my warriors are in possession of a blue crystal?”

Now that she mentioned it.

“Here is the thing”, Pastel continued. “Our crystals change color when we...we...l-lose our...”

“Teeth?”, suggested Kanami.

“N-No.”

“Your hair?”

“Not that either.”

“Bladder control?”

“OUR VIRGINITY YOU FOOLISH HUMAN! OUR CRYSTALS TURN FROM RED TO BLUE THE MOMENT WE HAVE SEXUAL INTERCOURSE!”

“Woah!” Kanami gasped. So everybody know if a Kalar already had sex? That's like ultra embarrassing!

Pastel blushed further. “Basically, I am a virgin. But I am expected to get with child soon. And now that we acquired another male...”

“Wait, you mean Poron?” Kanami almost forgot about him.

“Yes.” The queen took a deep breath. “I need to produce an heir to ensure the prosperity of the great Kalar dynasty.”

“Ok, so basically, you ask me for permission to have sex with my boyfriend.” Kanami wasn't sure she liked that. Poron was her prince after all. She **** him fair and square.

“Don't be absurd. You are both our prisoners. I hardly need your permission for that.”

“But, unfortunately I am not well versed in the matters of...the bedroom. I can't ask my fellow Kalar's. That would be shameful. But you are an outsider. And I am sure you know exactly how to please your mate.”

Actually, the last time they tried something ended with her getting sprayed in the face, but Kanami didn't thought it smart to say so now. “Of course. I am a master of the erotic arts.”

Pastel appeared pleased to hear this. “Good, then here is the deal. You will teach me everything I need to know to milk this male dry. In exchange I lift this curse from you.”
